After the Taiping County Yamen was occupied by the Japanese leader Heihachirou, it became the main camp of the Japanese in Taiping County, and the Taiping County Yamen was able to escape from destruction, and because of the hasty retreat of the Japanese, it was too late to be set on fire, and the Taiping County Town was able to escape from fire, and it was basically intact, except for the filthiness and mess made by the Japanese.
After entering the Taiping county office, Zhu Pingan brought people to clean the county office inside and outside, and used it as a temporary camp for the surviving people.
After an hour or so of inspection, the teams found six Japanese pirates who had escaped from the net, these six Japanese pirates all had infected wounds, were dying, couldn’t even move, and were discarded by the Japanese pirates as burdens waiting for their deaths in a broken house, and the teams, according to Zhu Pingan’s previous orders, had their heads salted in lime and their bodies incinerated.
After more than an hour of search and rescue, the inspection squads also rescued many surviving people, a total of one thousand and ninety-one people.
This is a heartbreaking number, because before the Japanese broke into the city, there was a permanent population of 20,000 people in the county.
Now there are less than eleven hundred left! One out of ten!
After witnessing the tragedy in Taiping County, the young and strong people became more and more respectful of Zhu Pingan. If it wasn’t for the governor’s victory over the Japanese invaders outside of Jingnan County, there would have been no one left in Jingnan County, just like the people in Taiping County.
Settle down the surviving people, clean up the county, and set up the defence ……Because the Japanese invaders killed too many people in Taiping County, the city was almost full of corpses. Zhu Pingan was like a gyroscope, not a moment to spare.
It was not until the sun dipped in the west that Zhu Ping An finally had time to have lunch on the city wall.
After Zhu Pingan finished arranging the defence of the city wall, he returned to the county office, Liu Dazhu came over with a county seal to report to Zhu Pingan, “Your Excellency, during the cleaning of the county office, Erdog Zi found the county office seal in the outhouse, and now it has been cleaned.”
After Liu Dazhou finished his report, he showed the county office seal to Zhu Pingan.
The seal of Taiping County was made of copper, oxidised over the years, black and ugly, not worth much money, the Japanese couldn’t look at it, so in order to humiliate the Ming government, they threw the county seal into the outhouse.
“Well, it really is the Tai Ping County Seal. Er Dogzi is meritorious for retrieving the Tai Ping County Seal, turn around and reward me with ten taels of silver.”
Zhu Pingan looked at it carefully for a couple of moments, confirming that it was undoubtedly the Seal of Taiping Immortal, and couldn’t help but nod his head, the corners of his mouth revealing a curve.
With this Tai Ping County Seal, the last meaning hidden danger of robbing himself of his credit was eliminated.
Not only had he retrieved the Tai Ping County Seal as a symbol of authority, but he had also completed the formalities of Zhu Pingan’s expedition to Tai Ping.
The Laws of Daming stipulated, “It is forbidden for a magistrate to leave his district at will.” In the Jiajing years, that is, ten years ago, the metropolitan police also issued a special administrative documents: “all places Fu militia and other officials, all have local responsibilities, are not allowed to cross the border to welcome the visit, there is a nuisance to their duties, violators listen to the officer impeachment”.
Zhu Pingan as Jingnan County, as the parents of Jingnan County, local responsibility, is not free to leave Jingnan. If you are free to leave the Jingnan, Zhu Pingan is illegal, will be impeached, and a bullet a quasi.

In the Song Dynasty, there was an official named Chen Houshan, who was a magistrate in Xuzhou, and this man was also a poet. He was an avid fan of Su Dongpo, a great writer, and could be considered one of the crazier stargazers in ancient times. One day, Su Dongpo was relegated to Hangzhou as an official, and when Chen Houshan, who was an official in Xuzhou, heard about it, he left Xuzhou and travelled to Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, to wait for Su Dongpo, just to see his idol, and eventually he got what he wanted, which was to see Su Dongpo. However, when Chen Houshan’s colleagues heard about this, they reported him to their superiors, and Chen Houshan was finally dismissed from his post.
Zhu Pingan’s departure from his jurisdiction, Jingnan County, to reinforce Taiping County was a hidden danger of leaving his jurisdiction privately.
However, the laws and regulations did not always prohibit leaving the jurisdiction. There were some special cases in which it was permissible to leave the county, such as when a county governor was pursuing and apprehending bandits, he could leave the county temporarily.

In the inner hall of the county office, Zhu Pingan laid out a pen, ink, paper and inkstone, and holding a brush in his left hand, he wrote a letter of request for assistance in the name and tone of the governor of Taiping County to the governor of Jingnan County, that is, himself, requesting to send troops to rescue Taiping County.
After writing it, Zhu Pingan blew the ink dry, used a piece of cloth as a cushion to pick up the seal of Taiping County, dipped it into the sealing clay, and stamped the seal of Taiping County on the letter of request for assistance.
The reason why Zhu Pingan used a cloth to hold the seal was because the seal was fished out of the latrine, and although it had been cleaned several times, a faint smell of urine could still be detected, so Zhu Pingan had to use a cloth to hold it.
After the seal mud dried, Zhu Pingan put the letter of request for help close to him.
With such a letter from Governor Wang requesting for troops to rescue him, he would be able to justify his support for Taiping County.
No one would be able to impeach him.
The great merit of restoring Taiping County would fall into his pocket without any trouble.
“Big Gun, make the porridge thicker for dinner, and steam more rice, so that everyone has enough to eat.”
“Big Sword, Big Hammer, you work harder, do a good job of patrolling at night, if you come across a curmudgeon taking advantage of the chaos to commit adultery, you will be severely punished.”
“Folks, the Japanese have been driven away, so you can rest assured. Da Axe, it’s autumn, and it’s cool at night, so bring your men to gather more quilts, and try to get three or five people to share a quilt.”
After Zhu Pingan received the letter of request for help close to his body, he went out of the county office and commanded to arrange for the resettlement of the people and other matters.
He was busy until the moon was bright and the sky was full of stars, only then did Zhu Pingan sit in the group of people and take a nap with his clothes on.
