In the beginning, the person who could not match the couplet could drink wine, but all the people here were high level people, basically there were few who could not answer.
In light of this, Boss Liu changed the rules to one where only those who answered correctly were allowed to drink.
“All of you stop drinking from your cups and listen to my order. The wine at this banquet is aged for a hundred years, so we must not let it down. I will give you a couplet, and only those who get the next couplet right will be allowed to drink. The person who has the right couplet will continue to give a couplet, and the person who has the right couplet will be allowed to drink, and so on. ……Do you all understand?”
Boss Man Liu ordered the people at the banquet table to put down their wine cups and spoke this new rule with a smile.
“Honoured to follow the order.”The crowd smiled back.
“The sun is in the east, the moon is in the west, and the sky generates the word Ming.”Boss Liu pondered briefly and came up with a top couplet.
This couplet was a split-word couplet with east-west and world orientation words, making it one of the more difficult couplets.
After Boss Man Liu came up with this couplet, the crowd began to ponder.
“The son lives on the right, the woman on the left, the world matches set good people.”While the crowd was still pondering, Yang Guoliang was the first to come up with the next couplet.
“Good, Dr Yang please fill this cup.”Boss Liu praised and personally held the wine pot and poured a cup of wine for Yang Guoliang.
“Colourful.”
The crowd also praised in unison.
“Many thanks to Elder Liu, and many thanks to all of you for allowing me to do so.”
Yang Guoliang received the wine cup with both hands, drank it all in one go, and then inverted the empty cup to show to the crowd, indicating that he drank it dry, and when he turned to Zhu Pingan, he found that Zhu Pingan was even busy burying his head in the half roasted chicken in his plate, not even looking at himself.

Seeing this, Yang Guoliang disdainfully skimmed his mouth and wordlessly moved his lips, ridiculing Zhu Pingan for not having seen the world.
“Dr Yang, please come up with a couplet, and only those who answer will be allowed to drink.”Boss Liu reminded.
“I am honoured to comply with the decree. Please listen carefully, my top line is ‘Taking two rivers, lining up eight formations, six out of seven captures, forty-nine bright lights in Wuzhangyuan, and a single mind only to reward three wishes.'”Yang Guoliang arched his hand towards Boss Liu, then spoke his top line.
This long couplet that Yang Guoliang came up with was even more difficult than the one Liu Boqing just came up with, the couplet contained one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, describing the celebrity Zhuge Liang’s bang, and wanting to form a couplet with it was even more difficult.
Therefore, after Yang Guoliang came up with this couplet, the crowd fell into thought.
Only Zhu Pingan was still buried in the food on his plate, as if he couldn’t answer, so he gave up.
This caused Yang Guoliang to look at Zhu Pingan even more.

As soon as he heard this sound, Yang Guoliang knew that it must be Zhu Pingan beside him without a doubt, and turned his head to look.

Zhu Pingan smiled somewhat awkwardly towards the crowd, then reached out his hand to pick up a cup on the side, ready to drink a mouthful of tea to smooth his throat.
