Ye Chen listened the whole ride and pretty much memorised the tune and lyrics by the time they arrived.
At the National Sports Centre, the stage, lighting, and sound systems were all set up.
Tawana’s backing band was already tuning, and the lighting and sound engineers were making final adjustments.
When Ye Chen and Gu Qiuyi arrived, Tawana came down from the stage to greet them personally. She eagerly said to Gu Qiuyi, “I’ve had the sound engineer download the music file for ‘Assassin’ and the original MV. We’ll run through it soon. I mainly want to figure out how to choreograph Mr. Ye’s part.”
Gu Qiuyi smiled and said, “Originally, this song had a female lead and a male lead, so when we performed it before, I didn’t join in the dancing. The choreography was done by a male and female dancer in ancient costumes together.”

Realising something, she quickly corrected herself, “Wait, no, it should be both of us as the female leads. Since we’re each singing a part, when I sing, Brother Ye Chen dances with me, and when you sing, he dances with you. How’s that for a fair split?”
Tawana laughed delightedly, “Fair and square, absolutely reasonable!”
