Hu Mazi’s eyes lit up the moment he heard the woman’s voice, and he immediately looked towards the direction from which it came.
In the distance, behind a mound of earth, several shadowy figures could be vaguely seen tussling with something.
That mound swayed unsteadily in the gale, with grains of sand continually rolling down from it.
“Chen Ping, listen, it sounds like a woman is in trouble!”
Hu Mazi said excitedly, and without waiting for Chen Ping’s response, he was already rushing impatiently towards the scene.
His figure staggered somewhat in the wind, yet his steps were exceedingly hurried.
Over this period, Hu Mazi had not encountered a single woman, which had left him exceedingly frustrated.
Now, with a woman suddenly crying for help, regardless of the circumstances, Hu Mazi had to go and rescue her; perhaps she would repay him with her body, allowing him to vent properly.
For someone like Hu Mazi, who indulged with women almost daily, enduring such a prolonged abstinence brought a stifled discomfort that only he could truly comprehend.
“Hu Master, don’t be hasty…”
Chen Ping called out, shaking his head helplessly before following along.
He had no particular interest in meddling in others’ affairs, especially since his own matters in this wasteland remained unresolved.
But with Hu Mazi already charging ahead, he could not simply stand by.
Should Hu Mazi encounter any danger, he could not watch idly.
Moreover, Hu Mazi became utterly reckless at the sight of a woman; it would be unfortunate if she escaped one set of clutches only to fall into his.
Chen Ping had witnessed it before: Hu Mazi leaving two women unable to walk after a single night.
Drawing nearer, he saw two cultivators clad in black fitted robes gripping a young woman’s arms tightly, attempting to drag her away by force.
The woman wore a white dress, which stood out strikingly amid the swirling yellow sands of the wasteland.
Her features were delicate and beautiful, with brows like distant hills and eyes like stars; at this moment, she struggled desperately, her face filled with terror and fury.
The two black-clad cultivators were tall and burly, with fierce expressions and eyes gleaming with malice.
“Let me go! Do you know who I am? My master will not spare you!”
The woman shouted sternly, attempting to intimidate them with her words.
Though her voice trembled slightly from fear, it brimmed with resolve.
Yet the two black-clad cultivators remained unmoved.
“Who exactly are you? Why are you seizing me?”
The woman struggled fiercely.
“Hmph, you have been spreading rumours everywhere, slandering our Divine Hall’s altar-opening as a ploy to steal others’ souls.”
“With such slanderous words from you, you deserve death!”
One of the black-clad cultivators declared.
The woman froze, incredulous as she said, “You… you are from the Divine Hall?”
“Indeed, we are from the Six Temples of the Divine Hall, and we shall take you back to face judgement from the Sixth Temple Master!”
That black-clad cultivator nodded.
Meanwhile, the other black-clad cultivator grinned wickedly and said, “Such a pretty little beauty, it would be a pity to send her off directly; we ought to have some fun with her first before handing her over.”
“Exactly, let us brothers enjoy her properly; a woman this beautiful must surely still be a maiden.”
The other black-clad cultivator even reached out to touch the woman’s face, prompting her to shrink back in fright.
At the sight, Hu Mazi’s anger surged, yet he did not charge forward immediately; instead, he hid to the side, secretly observing.
Chen Ping caught up and looked at Hu Mazi in puzzlement, asking, “Hu Master, weren’t you set on playing the hero to save the beauty? Why not rush in and rescue her?”
“You wouldn’t understand; those two fellows are just starting to strip that woman. If I rush in now and save her straight away, what if she doesn’t repay me with her body? How else would she undress?”
“I need to wait until her clothes are fully stripped off, leaving her completely bare, before charging in. That way, I can feast my eyes, and she will be even more grateful to me.”
Hu Mazi chuckled slyly.
