Seeing the doubtful gaze Chen Ping turned on her, Liu Xue quickly said, “Actually, we have found the entrance to the ruin, but we cannot get in. That is why we want to ask you to come along, to open the entrance for us.”
“You think I can open that ruin entrance?”

His own strength was enough to deal with someone at the ninth grade of Human Immortal realm without much trouble, yet Liu Xue was clearly at Heavenly Immortal realm. If even she could not open it, why did she believe he could?
“You may not be able to open it, but the exalted expert behind you certainly can…”

Chen Ping froze, staring hard at Liu Xue. “How do you know there is an exalted expert behind me?”
“With your level of strength, it would be impossible for you to oppose the Evil Dao Palace, and it would be equally impossible for you to kill high-level experts from the Evil Dao Palace such as their Grand Elder, Dharma King, or Venerable.”

Liu Xue stated frankly.
Upon hearing her explanation, Yan Nantian genuinely admired her.

Chen Ping merely smiled. “I am truly sorry, but even I do not know where that exalted expert behind me is, much less how to summon him.”
“Then how did you escape being hunted by those experts from the Evil Dao Palace?” Liu Xue asked, puzzled.
“Whenever I am in danger, the people who want to kill me simply die on their own. As for exactly how they die, I have no idea.”
Chen Ping replied.
In fact, Chen Ping was not lying. He himself did not know how Dharma King Mu had died, or whether it had really been Mr Shi who killed him.
He had merely tricked Dharma King Mu into insulting Mr Shi, and then the man dropped dead.
What method Mr Shi had used to kill Dharma King Mu, Chen Ping did not know. He was not even certain it had been Mr Shi who did it.
Liu Xue was stunned. She looked Chen Ping up and down once more and said, “If that is the case, it is fortunate our Grand Elder did not strike to kill. Had he done so, he might already be dead by now.”
“Who knows, it really might have happened that way…” Chen Ping laughed.
Both Yan Nantian and Liu Xue wore strange expressions, uncertain whether they believed what Chen Ping had said.
“Young Master Chen, even if you cannot open the ruin, my invitation remains completely sincere. From now on, you are a friend of our Earth Fiend Alliance.”
“If Young Master Chen is worried, you may bring Sect Master Yan along.”
Liu Xue was afraid Chen Ping would suspect her of some plot.
“What do I have to fear? Just call for me when it is time to set off!” Chen Ping replied, completely unconcerned.
“Young Master Chen is straightforward. I shall return at once to prepare. There is no time to lose, we leave tomorrow.”
With those words, Liu Xue’s figure flickered and she vanished entirely.

“Chen Ping, are you really going with Liu Xue to look for the ruin?”
Once Liu Xue had left, Yan Nantian asked.
Chen Ping nodded.
“Are you not afraid she might be playing some trick?” Yan Nantian could not understand why Chen Ping trusted Liu Xue.
“Sect Master Yan, I do not think Alliance Leader Liu would deceive me,” Chen Ping said.
“Why are you so certain?”
“Because of her eyes. Her eyes tell me she is sincere…”
Chen Ping recalled those dark, sparkling eyes of Liu Xue’s. When she smiled, they curved like willow leaves, utterly captivating.
