“No need!” Chen Ping shook his head.
“Boy, it seems you still do not know the might of our Myriad Beast Sect. Once you experience the beast soul array, you will not even have time to cry,” Elder Yu Sha sneered.
“Is the Myriad Beast Sect very mighty?” Chen Ping smiled.
“What? You look down on our Myriad Beast Sect?” Elder Yu Sha’s brows furrowed.
“If your Myriad Beast Sect is so mighty, why did the Myriad Soul Demon Sect beat you so badly that you could not find your way, yet you dared not resist at all?” Chen Ping questioned.
“You…”
Elder Yu Sha was instantly so angry that he could not speak.
The Heaven-Splitting Sect Master also frowned and said coldly, “Enough. No more sharp-tongued quarrels. Whether you have real ability or not, we shall see the truth in three days.”
“I can agree to your terms and break this beast soul array to show you my strength, but you must also promise me one thing,” Chen Ping said.
“Speak,” the Heaven-Splitting Sect Master asked.
“If I break that beast soul array, you must give me one million immortal stones. Otherwise, after I saved your people, only to have my strength questioned, would that not make me lose face completely?” Chen Ping said calmly.
“What? One million immortal stones? Why do you not just go rob someone?” Elder Yu Sha immediately roared.
“What? Were you not utterly certain that I lack the strength to break the array? Why do you not dare to bet with me?” Chen Ping sneered.
Elder Yu Sha fell silent and looked towards the Heaven-Splitting Sect Master.
After a moment of contemplation, the Heaven-Splitting Sect Master nodded. “Very well. If you truly break the beast soul array, I promise you one million immortal stones. Moreover, I will make an exception and appoint you as a supreme elder of our Myriad Beast Sect.”
“I have no interest in that. We shall see in three days!”
With that, Chen Ping turned and left.
After Chen Ping departed from the Myriad Beast Hall, Shi Yan and Ying Wu hurriedly chased after him.
“Senior! Senior, please wait!”
Shi Yan’s face was full of apology and anxiety. “We are truly sorry. We did not expect the Sect Master and the elders to question Senior in such a way. You have been wronged.”
