“Stop!”
Shi Yan barely lifted his head and roared hoarsely in rage, only to receive a vicious kick to the chest from a nearby fused-beast warrior, causing him to spit out another mouthful of blood.
“Hey, you piece of trash still have some spirit? After I finish with this little lass, I’ll take my time dealing with you!”
The goat-horned leader laughed lewdly, his hand almost touching Ying Wu’s shoulder.
At this critical moment,
“Boom!”
The crude restriction at the cave entrance shattered like paper!
A cold, violent terror of killing intent, like a primordial ferocious beast awakening, surged through the entire cave like a tangible tidal wave!
The laughter of all the fused-beast warriors stopped abruptly, as if their throats had been seized.
They turned their heads in horror and saw at the entrance, somehow, a figure in a cyan robe.
The man stood there, appearing calm, but his eyes were like eternal ice, or like a volcano about to erupt, containing anger that could destroy everything.
Merely being swept by his gaze made these usually ferocious fused-beast warriors feel as if they had fallen into an ice pit, their blood seemingly freezing.
“You… who are you?!”
The goat-horned leader, sobered greatly by the killing intent, shouted sternly but with inward fear, his voice trembling involuntarily.
Chen Ping did not answer.
His gaze fell on Shi Yan and Ying Wu. Seeing their miserable state, especially the sudden burst of hope in Ying Wu’s eyes like seeing a saviour, followed by even more tears of grievance, the rage in his chest burned to its peak.
“You… all deserve to die.”
Five flat words, yet like the pronouncement of death.
In the next instant, Chen Ping moved.
There was no earth-shattering momentum, no flashy technique.
He simply raised his right hand, fingers spread wide, and gently clenched towards everyone in the cave except Shi Yan and Ying Wu.
“Buzz!”
The air in the cave seemed to be instantly evacuated, time pausing for a moment.
Then, under the horrified gazes of all the fused-beast warriors, who could not even make a sound,
Their bodies, along with the weapons in their hands, the wine jars beside them, even the soul lamps, were as if grasped by an invisible giant hand, and then,

A series of muffled explosions rang out!
The seven fused-beast warriors, including the goat-horned leader at the fourth grade of Heavenly Immortal realm, did not even have time to scream. Their bodies exploded on the spot!
Turning into a mist of blood and fragments of flesh and bone, splattering the cave walls!
A thick bloody smell instantly filled the air.
In the entire cave, apart from Shi Yan and Ying Wu bound to the stone pillars, there was no living creature left.
Chen Ping withdrew his hand, as if merely dusting off some dirt.
He quickly walked to the pillars, fingers lightly slicing, and the special beast-tendon ropes binding the two snapped.
Ying Wu, losing support, softly collapsed downwards, but Chen Ping caught her in time.
She leaned into Chen Ping’s embrace, feeling those solid, reliable arms and the familiar faint aura.
The fear, grievance, and despair of the past days finally erupted completely. She clutched Chen Ping’s robe tightly, buried her face in his chest, and sobbed uncontrollably, her delicate body trembling without stop.
“Senior… Senior… You really came… I knew… You would definitely come…”
She wept incoherently, unable to form proper sentences.
Chen Ping sighed inwardly, gently patted her back, and channelled a strand of gentle chaotic immortal power to steady her mind and alleviate her injuries.
Then he looked at Shi Yan, who was struggling to stand.
Though gravely injured, Shi Yan’s eyes burned with raging anger and lingering fear. He knelt on one knee, voice hoarse. “Senior! Shi Yan was incompetent, failed to protect Ying Wu, and even caused Senior to risk himself personally…”
“Get up. Now is not the time for this.”
Chen Ping helped him up, similarly channelling immortal power to aid his healing, and took out a pill for him to swallow. “How did you fall into their hands?”
After swallowing the pill, Shi Yan felt a warm current spread, easing his injuries considerably. He then quickly explained the events.
It turned out that after splitting up, Shi Yan’s group had proceeded relatively smoothly, sneaking to the periphery of the old Myriad Beasts Sect site.
They captured a lone fused-beast warrior and interrogated him for internal information. Just as they prepared to withdraw, they unexpectedly encountered Ying Wu’s group.
Ying Wu’s team seemed to have exposed their tracks and were being pursued by a squad of fused-beast warriors.
Shi Yan immediately decided to provide support. The two groups merged, fighting while retreating.
Though they killed many pursuers, the enemy numbers grew, even drawing demonic sect experts.
In the fierce battle, the team was scattered. Shi Yan and Ying Wu, to cover the retreat of the other disciples, deliberately drew away most of the pursuers. In the end, they were ambushed near this mountain gorge, exhausted and captured.
The fate of the other disciples was unknown.
“Those bastards… after capturing us, they humiliated us in every way, and even wanted to…” Shi Yan gnashed his teeth, eyes bloodshot.
“I understand.”
Chen Ping interrupted him, voice ice-cold. “This grudge, I will repay a hundredfold for you. But now, we must leave here immediately.”
“Although I controlled the disturbance just now as much as possible, it might still attract nearby enemies.”
Shi Yan and Ying Wu quickly nodded.
Chen Ping draped one of his spare outer robes over Ying Wu to cover her damaged clothing.
Then, supporting one with each arm, his figure flashed, and he rushed out of the cave, once again merging into the mountain forest shadows, speeding towards the southwest.
About half a stick of incense after they left, several powerful auras arrived at the cave. Seeing the gruesome scene inside, they all drew sharp breaths, then let out furious roars and piercing alarm sounds…
But by then, Chen Ping had already taken Shi Yan and Ying Wu dozens of li away.
Following the route and method provided by Ling Shuang, he advanced at full speed towards the entrance of that mysterious Li Huo secret realm.
