“I’m sorry, I didn’t see anything.”
No matter how many people Xu Fei asked, every employee inside Bogutong remained tight-lipped.
But what Xu Fei saw with his mind’s eye told a different story.
At the very least, someone higher up had instructed them not to answer that question.
“Who is it? Who’s hiding this? Show yourself!”
Xu Fei finally couldn’t hold back and roared. The supervisor hiding nearby seemed to see an opportunity for revenge and quickly called for security.
“Sir! If you continue to shout and disturb others, we’ll have to escort you out!”
Seeing the approaching security guards, Xu Fei’s anger flared even more. He struck first, punching one of them and sending him flying.
“Damn it! Causing trouble on Bogutong’s turf? Get him!”
The supervisor waved his hand, and the remaining guards rushed forward.
Yet, even a dozen of them were no match for Xu Fei. They were all easily taken down.
Xu Fei used his mind’s eye to glance at the supervisor and realized he wasn’t high-ranking enough to know about the orchid.
Frustrated, Xu Fei gritted his teeth and started smashing the nearby display cases.
“Sir! Those are priceless jewels! Please stop!”
The supervisor, seeing Xu Fei seemingly out of control, tried to intervene but was kicked away.
The more pained the supervisor’s expression became, the more Xu Fei knew he had to keep destroying.
“What are you afraid of? They’re all fakes anyway. I can afford to smash them all!”
“What fakes? You’re slandering us! What right do you have?”
“Right? Who cares about rights? If I smash this place, you can go ahead and call all the appraisal experts you want!”
The Bogu Antique Association was bustling with people. At first, they found it amusing to see someone smashing the jewelry displays and gathered to watch.
But when they heard Xu Fei claim the items were fakes, they abandoned any thoughts of buying and left.
Those who had already made purchases pulled out their antiques and jade, crying and demanding refunds. Chaos erupted.
As the situation spiraled out of control, the supervisor had no choice but to make a call.
“Mr. Jun, can’t we sit down and talk this through?”
Not long after the supervisor’s call, a middle-aged man arrived.
“Who are you? What makes you think you can talk to me?”
“I’m the current acting head of the Bogu Antique Association. Do I qualify?”
The man, Gu Changying, initially wore a confident smile, but the next moment, things took an unexpected turn.
Upon hearing his identity, Xu Fei sneered and began to question him.
“A naive young girl—you scammed her once, and now you’re tricking her into doing something like this again!”
Xu Fei spoke softly, his head lowered. Gu Changying arrogantly cupped his hand to his ear as if he couldn’t hear.
“What? I can’t hear you…”
“I said you deserve to die!”
In the next second, Xu Fei lunged at Gu Changying, knocking him to the ground with a kick. His fist, carrying the force of a howling wind, came crashing down.
