It seemed all was set in stone, but then the window shattered, and a figure burst in.

Zhang Cheng jolted in shock, this was just the second floor, but the building was tall—nearly ten meters off the ground—how’d this guy get up here!

Xu Fei scooped up the contract from the floor, snagging the IOU off the table too, and ripped it to shreds.
Zhang Cheng froze for a second, then burst out laughing.
“Hmph, tear it up all you want! That’s just a copy, if you wanna keep shredding, I’ve got plenty more!”
“Oh yeah? So you’re saying just destroying the IOU won’t cut it, how about I make the creditor vanish from this world instead?”
Xu Fei’s tone turned icy by the end, his face brimming with killing intent.
“You… don’t get cocky! I don’t know how you slipped past and climbed up, but you think it’s over? Boys, take him out!”
Cheng-ge slammed the table, and the goons in the room surged forward.
But then he watched as the dozen or so lackeys who’d lunged at Xu Fei got booted back just as fast.
“Get in here! Where the hell’s everyone downstairs?!”
Cheng-ge bellowed again, only to hear silence from the hallway behind him.
Xu Fei smirked, pointing at the busted window he’d jumped through.
“You mean the guys downstairs? Go take a good look yourself!”
