Seeing Peng Yifeng’s panicked reaction, Xu Fei couldn’t help but want to laugh.
“The security? That bunch of rotten tomatoes and bad eggs got flattened by me ages ago, now, how about you tell me why my family’s jade Arhats ended up with you?”
Realising Xu Fei was here to settle scores, Peng Yifeng quickly waved his hand and shouted, “You, what are you all standing around for? Stop him now! Or we’re all done for!”
Though the Hardware Insurance Company was out of security guards, Peng Yifeng still had plenty of employees and factory workers under him.
This group was far more loyal than the guards outside, after all, they’d personally witnessed Peng Yifeng’s plan to load up the jade Arhats.
So, they’d all taken a bit of hush money.
Because of that, when Peng Yifeng gave the order, these guys grabbed whatever was at hand, wrenches, hammers, and charged at Xu Fei with menacing glares.
Xu Fei, of course, wasn’t fazed in the slightest, the toughest bunch outside had already fallen to him, how could he fear this ragtag crew?
“Quit dawdling, all of you come at me together, I’m in a hurry!”
Seeing Xu Fei’s arrogance, openly taunting so many of them, the employees and workers couldn’t take it anymore, they roared and rushed him.
The outcome was predictable, Xu Fei raised a hand, his true energy surging out, instantly manipulating the scattered nails on the ground into sharp projectiles that knocked the group flat in a flash.
Peng Yifeng stared in horror as nearly every one of his men had a nail embedded in their legs or feet, blood seeping out steadily, he was seriously spooked.
He still wanted to order his remaining staff to fight, but in the next second, Xu Fei was right in front of him.
“Hmph, still thinking of resisting to the end, huh?”
Xu Fei grabbed Peng Yifeng by the collar, hoisting him into the air, the man flailed helplessly as his feet dangled, gasping for breath.
Facing a life-threatening situation, Peng Yifeng didn’t dare entertain any more foolish thoughts, croaking out in a hoarse voice, “S-sorry, Mr. Xu, it’s, it’s all my fault, put me down, I’ll return the jade Arhats right away!”
Truth be told, Xu Fei had come just to reclaim the jade Arhats, and if he’d gone all out from the start, Peng Yifeng wouldn’t have been able to stop him anyway.
But what Xu Fei wanted was this guy’s apology, as the saying goes, it’s not about steaming buns, it’s about saving face.
Hearing this, Xu Fei casually tossed Peng Yifeng to the ground like trash, then dusted off his hands.
As he turned around, he spotted a trembling man stepping into the back courtyard, looking utterly timid.
Xu Fei understood, the guy was wearing a Hardware Insurance Company uniform, so he had to be an employee here.
Imagine walking into your company’s backyard and seeing all the big shots and bosses sprawled on the ground, wailing in pain, anyone would be shocked.
Xu Fei glanced at the man and asked, “What’re you here for?”
