The sudden appearance of this person startled Yao Manyun.

“You, you little brat nearly scared your Uncle He to death! We’ve brought a miracle doctor for the second miss, so if you want her to get better soon, step aside now!” Uncle He snapped.
After he spoke, Yao Manyun couldn’t help but pat her chest.
“Ugh, Yao Yuanzhou, are you trying to give me a heart attack? I usually let you mess around up here, but today’s a big day for Yao Yunxi, so get out of the way!”
Who’d have thought that even after Yao Manyun and Uncle He laid it on thick, Yao Yuanzhou wouldn’t budge an inch?
He sprawled himself across the staircase, pulled a fruit knife from his pocket, and pressed it to his own neck.

The other two quickly caught on that this was a temporary retreat, nodded, and led Xu Fei away for the time being.
Soon after, Yao Manyun and Uncle He brought Xu Fei to the reception room. The moment Xu Fei sat down, he asked, “Who was that Yao Yuanzhou just now? Why didn’t you mention him earlier?”
Uncle He brewed tea for Xu Fei while replying, “Well, it’s not that we were hiding anything, it’s just that Yao Yuanzhou’s situation is a bit peculiar, and we don’t really dwell on it.”
From Uncle He, Xu Fei learned that Yao Yuanzhou was actually an adopted son picked up by a distant cousin of the Yao family.
