Twenty minutes passed in the blink of an eye, Xu Fei had just finished sipping his coffee when Huang Chengyun’s phone rang.
“Hey, Little Huang, it’s your Brother Zhao, I’m at the property office entrance of Wangjing Tower right now.”
“Got it, Brother Zhao! I’ll bring my friend over right away!”
Huang Chengyun, brimming with excitement, led Xu Fei out of the café, taking the elevator up to the fourth floor where the property office was located.
As soon as they stepped off the elevator into the hallway, Xu Fei spotted the so-called Brother Zhao from a distance.
The guy had long, flowing yellow hair, his ears and lips studded with piercings, and his body covered in tattoos, looking every bit the stereotypical street punk.
When he saw Xu Fei and Huang Chengyun approach, Brother Zhao exuded an air of confidence.
Hands in his pockets, he gave Xu Fei and Huang Chengyun a once-over before speaking.
“You’re Little Huang, huh?”
“That’s me, Brother Zhao!”
“Alright, as long as I’ve got the right guy, follow me!”
With a flick of his head that he clearly thought was cool, Brother Zhao led Xu Fei and Huang Chengyun into the property office.
Despite Brother Zhao’s eccentric appearance, it was obvious everyone in the office knew him, so no one batted an eye.
Xu Fei didn’t mind, casually trailing behind as he watched Huang Chengyun and Brother Zhao negotiate with the property staff.
After a brief discussion, Huang Chengyun returned with a smile and reported to Xu Fei.
“Major General, I just checked, there are about a dozen offices available for rent in Wangjing Tower right now, split into three types: A, B, and C. Take a look and see which one you want.”
Then Huang Chengyun handed Xu Fei a brochure provided by the property staff.
Xu Fei took it and glanced through, the three types were ranked with A being the best, followed by B and C.
The main differences were in size and natural lighting.
Since Xu Fei had the transfer contract from the Yao family, he naturally aimed for the biggest and best option.
So he pointed at the A-type layout and looked at Huang Chengyun.
“I’ll take this one.”
His words were simple, but they put considerable pressure on Huang Chengyun.
The only reason he could bring Xu Fei here was because of the verbal agreement he’d secured over the phone outside the café.
The better the option Xu Fei picked, the more Huang Chengyun would have to shell out in “thank-you” fees later.
But he’d already boasted, and considering Xu Fei had done him a favor in the past, Huang Chengyun could only grit his teeth and push forward.
“Hmph, big talker, huh! Picking the top-tier A-type, no less!”
Brother Zhao, seeing Xu Fei’s choice, couldn’t help but let out a snort.
Huang Chengyun, worried things might unravel, quickly shot him a look, prompting Brother Zhao to backtrack.
“Once you’ve made your pick, no take-backs, I’ll go talk to them over there and let you know once it’s settled!”
With that, Brother Zhao turned and left.
Huang Chengyun seized the moment to slip over and plead again in a hushed tone.
“Brother Zhao, there won’t be any issues this time, right?”
