At this point, even though Huang Chengyun had a request for Brother Zhao, he couldn’t hold back any longer and immediately spoke up.
“Brother Zhao, don’t think that just because I need your help, you can do whatever you want. This price is obviously unreasonable! Even if we have money, we won’t let you blatantly rip us off!”
After Huang Chengyun finished speaking, Brother Zhao seized the opportunity and instantly turned on him.
“Hmph! What’s that? Think it’s too expensive, do you? If it’s too pricey, then don’t come to Wangjing Tower! Everyone in the capital knows the value of this location. If you’ve got no money, stop pretending to be a big shot here and get lost, you two broke losers!”
No sooner had he spoken than two security guards approached with dark expressions, clearly having coordinated with Brother Zhao beforehand.
At this stage, for Brother Zhao, things had already reached a perfect conclusion.
All he needed to do next was wait for the guards to throw these two out, then quickly call Brother Xing to report the good news.
“Master Jun, I… I’m useless. I can’t believe I couldn’t even handle this small matter. I… I deserve to die!”
By now, Huang Chengyun clearly realised he’d been tricked, and he’d even dragged Xu Fei into this mess, likely humiliating them both.
Feeling deeply guilty, Huang Chengyun raised his hand, ready to slap himself.
But before his hand could land, Xu Fei intercepted it, stopping him with a smile.
“It’s fine. This isn’t your fault to begin with. These guys are just too arrogant, deliberately making things hard for you. Don’t worry, though, with me here, this matter won’t end so easily today!”
Brother Zhao overheard every word clearly and shot Xu Fei a sideways glance.
“Oh, ho! Didn’t expect you to be such a tough guy, huh? Don’t want it to end like this? Then what do you plan to do about it?”
By now, the security guards had entered the reception room and were about to eject Xu Fei and Huang Chengyun. But in a flash, Xu Fei struck, using two swift grappling moves to dislocate both guards’ shoulders.
Crack!
The two guards hit the ground, clutching their dislocated arms and howling in pain.
Brother Zhao, who’d grown up brawling on the streets, wasn’t fazed by this.
He reacted decisively, throwing a punch straight at Xu Fei.
Xu Fei instinctively raised his arm to block. The punch was stopped, but a cold smirk crept onto Brother Zhao’s lips.
In the next second, a sharp dagger slid out from his sleeve with a scrape, thrusting towards Xu Fei.
Having survived and thrived on the streets, Brother Zhao was no ordinary thug.
Hiding a small, lethal trick like this might be dirty, but for him, it had always worked like a charm!
Yet just as Brother Zhao thought victory was his, Xu Fei flicked a silver needle from his sleeve.
The needle clashed with the dagger’s tip, and astonishingly, the needle emerged unscathed while the dagger snapped clean in two.
“This… this can’t be!”
Brother Zhao, a veteran of street fights, had never encountered anything so bizarre in his life.
Moments later, Xu Fei’s iron fist came crashing towards him, forcing him to accept the reality.
“You… what are you going to do? This is a lawful society! If you don’t stop, I’ll call the police!”
