Seeing something was off, Xu Fei snapped to attention and shouted, waving at the people on the minibus, “Quick, don’t just stand there, jump out now!”
The young lads and lasses on the bus reacted swiftly, immediately starting to leap out through the windows.
The lads moved fast and were out in no time, but the girls had it rough.
Their mobility was poor to begin with, and by the time they struggled out, Wei Xinghuo’s men had already charged in.
“Xu Fei! Let’s see how you escape this time!” Wei Xinghuo bellowed.
Hearing the shout, Xu Fei turned around, a faint smile playing on his lips, “Oh, who do we have here? It’s you again, what, didn’t get enough of a beating last time?”
The mention of their last encounter made Wei Xinghuo grind his teeth in fury, he snorted coldly, “A hero doesn’t dwell on past glories, whatever happened before doesn’t matter, today you’re surrounded like a dumpling, I don’t believe you can slip away alone!”
At those words, the young lads from the head office started to heat up with adrenaline.
They didn’t actually know Xu Fei’s true identity from his military days, they just made the right call at the critical moment.
“President Xu, it’s urgent, you go first, we’ll hold them off no matter what!” one said.
“Exactly, we’re tough lads, President Xu, once you’re out, call the police quick to save us!” another chimed in.
Wei Xinghuo had already been mocked to his face by Xu Fei when he arrived.
Since he was genuinely outmatched in skill, he couldn’t muster much of a comeback.
But hearing even Xu Fei’s underlings openly challenge him set Wei Xinghuo’s anger ablaze.
“Damn it all, who do you lot think you are, daring to defy us? Fine, I’ll teach you a proper lesson today!” he roared.
With that, Wei Xinghuo waved his hand again, and his dozens of thugs rushed forward.
On Xu Fei’s side, he couldn’t stop the twenty-odd hot-blooded lads from the head office, he could only watch as they charged in.
From a distance, the two groups seemed evenly matched in numbers, but in terms of fighting prowess, Wei Xinghuo’s crew clearly had the edge.
In a matter of moments, Xu Fei’s side started to falter, teetering on the edge of danger.
At the critical moment, Xu Fei stepped in decisively, the second he joined the fray, it was like he’d flipped on a cheat code.
He snatched two steel pipes from an opponent’s hands, then wielded them with dazzling speed, single-handedly forcing Wei Xinghuo’s men back through the crowd, taking on the mob alone.
By the time the head office staff snapped out of it, Xu Fei had turned the tide, standing in front of them as their shield.
“Blimey! How’s President Xu not just loaded but this good in a scrap? Did I see that right?” one gasped.
“You didn’t see wrong, I watched him push back that whole lot by himself, he’s like a one-man army!” another confirmed.
Hearing the lads behind him singing his praises, Xu Fei didn’t let his guard down, his face stayed cold as he stared across at the enemy.
He knew beating back these small fry didn’t matter, the real key was Wei Xinghuo.
If he didn’t go down, this mess might never end.
