Talented Medical Son-in-law Chapter 1635

“Hey, hey, hey, what’s with this attitude? There’s clearly just one table of people in this restaurant, so why aren’t you serving us?”

The sudden loud commotion made Xu Fei’s expression darken considerably.

Bai Zhan immediately turned to look and saw a group of people barging in from the restaurant’s entrance.

There were about seven or eight of them, each one a burly, imposing figure, built like tanks.

Not only were they physically intimidating, but they were also covered in tattoos, their mere presence enough to unnerve the waitstaff.

“Well… gentlemen, please calm down. Although we only have one table of guests, they’re a large group and have taken up nearly all the seats.”

“How about you come back another time?”

The restaurant manager spoke politely, but the group at the door couldn’t care less.

One of them raised a hand and slapped the manager across the face.

Slap!

“Bullshit! You dare try to kick us out? Believe me, we’ll smash this place to pieces today! If we can’t eat, then no one will!”

With that mindset, the group of burly thugs looked ready to start trashing the place. Xu Fei shot Bai Zhan a quick glance.

Having run into this, Xu Fei couldn’t just sit by, especially since he was here dining with his company team. If these thugs caused a scene, their meal would be ruined.

Bai Zhan moved fast. As one of the thugs grabbed a heavy wooden chair to smash the bar counter, he leapt forward and delivered a swift kick.

The thug crumpled to the floor, the chair slipping from his grasp and landing on him, making him howl in pain.

Xu Fei nodded subtly to himself, thinking Bai Zhan had handled it with just the right amount of restraint.

The look he’d given Bai Zhan had meant to stop the trouble without escalating it further.

After all, even if he and Bai Zhan resolved the dispute and drove off these punks, turning the restaurant into a wreck would kill any appetite they had left.

The leader of the group, apparently their boss, roared in anger at the sight.

“Damn it! We weren’t even coming for you, and you dare strike first? Brothers, charge!”

As the group prepared to rush forward, Xu Fei raised a hand to stop them.

“Hold on a second. At the end of the day, you’re just pissed we’ve booked the place, right? That’s simple enough, let’s step outside and talk!”

The thug leader, a local street punk boss, knew exactly what Xu Fei meant by “talk.”

He glanced back at his seven or eight beefy brothers, then at Xu Fei’s side, where only two had followed. Confidence surged in his chest.

“Fine! Let’s talk outside!”

With that, the thug leader stormed out, but the moment they stepped beyond the restaurant, they all felt something strange in their bodies.

“What… what’s happening? Why can’t I move?”

“Me… me neither, boss, this is freaky!”

The group of thugs at the entrance started shouting in panic as they realised something was wrong. Even their leader couldn’t budge.

But he was sharp enough to connect the dots. Since “talking outside” had been Xu Fei’s idea, he immediately scowled and demanded,
“Damn it! What’s going on here? Did you do something to us?”
