Talented Medical Son-in-law Chapter 1649

“Help! Save him! Is there a doctor on the bus? My father’s dying!”

At that moment, a young man was shouting frantically in the bus, drenched in sweat, while beside him sat an elderly man with white hair.

The old man was now lying on the seat with his eyes closed, seemingly unconscious for some unknown reason.

Hearing the cries, Xu Fei quickly stood up from his seat, and the young man, as if spotting a saviour, grabbed Xu Fei’s shoulder in desperation.

“Are you a doctor? Please, I beg you, save my father!”

Xu Fei patted his shoulder reassuringly at these words, then hurried over to the old man’s side.

Rolling up the father’s sleeve, Xu Fei placed a finger on his wrist to take his pulse.

With what seemed like an emergency on the bus, plus Xu Fei starting to treat the man, almost everyone’s attention was drawn over, and the bus fell eerily quiet.

While Xu Fei was analysing the pulse, a loud shout suddenly made him frown, he looked up only to realise it was none other than the same young man who’d been so anxious just moments ago.

“Look, can’t you see I’m taking your father’s pulse? Can’t you stay quiet for a bit, or do you actually not want to save him?”

Hearing Xu Fei’s challenge, the young man didn’t back down, instead confronting him directly.

“My father has a congenital heart condition, it’s acting up now, but for some reason, the emergency medicine isn’t working.”

“I’m no doctor, but seeing you not even use a stethoscope, just feeling his pulse this whole time, I found it odd, turns out you’re a Chinese medicine practitioner, well, I don’t want your treatment then!”

With that, the young man swiftly slapped Xu Fei’s fingers off his father’s wrist.

“Hmph, I don’t care myself, but you can reach out and check if your father still has a heartbeat.”

At Xu Fei’s words, the young man’s expression shifted, he quickly leaned down to his father’s chest.

All he could hear was a faint heartbeat, and when he placed his fingers under his father’s nose, the breathing was so shallow it was almost undetectable.

“This… how did it suddenly get like this? I know it, it must be you! He was still holding on just a moment ago, it’s definitely because of whatever you did that his condition worsened!”

Seeing his father on the verge of passing away right in front of him, the young man hysterically grabbed Xu Fei’s collar, demanding an explanation.

But Xu Fei remained calm, looking at him and saying, “Even if this is because I tampered with something, you can’t even explain how I did it, so how would you report me to the police if they came?”

The young man had expected Xu Fei to defend himself, but these unexpected, unconventional words actually made the agitated youth calm down a bit.

“If I were you, I’d let go right now and let me see if there’s still a chance to save him!”

Hearing this, the young man paused to think, then quickly released his grip, though he still glared at Xu Fei menacingly and warned, “I’m warning you, if you can’t save my father, I’ll definitely report you to the police and have you arrested!”
