Xu Fei explained with an embarrassed tone.
“Oh, you’re right, I did feel unwell a while back, but it’s already been treated. Thanks for your kindness, though!”
The beauty looked at Xu Fei, seeing him as a kind-hearted young man, and a TCM practitioner at that.
For someone to care about her health right off the bat, rather than just ogling her, warmed her heart compared to those men who only cared about getting handsy. She thanked him sincerely.
“Don’t be so quick to dismiss it, hear me out. You’re in serious danger right now, and the key lies in that treatment you had a while ago!”
Seeing Xu Fei’s grave expression, clearly not joking, the busty woman didn’t interrupt and instead responded.
“Huh? That serious? A while back, I did feel back pain and soreness, couldn’t even sit up straight, so I went for a cupping session. Afterwards, I felt fine, pretty normal, no issues. My waist stopped aching, my legs didn’t hurt anymore.”
“But I’m curious, don’t you feel anything there at all? No pain?”
When she saw Xu Fei pointing at her left chest, the beauty blushed and let out a soft chuckle, but then realised he was likely referring to the black mole under her left armpit where the needle was. She replied thoughtfully.
“Now that you mention it, yesterday when I was showering, I think I accidentally bumped it. It did feel like a sharp, needle-like pain for a moment, but then it went away, so I didn’t think much of it.”
Xu Fei rubbed his chin after hearing this.
“Then try touching it again now!”
Following his words, the woman hesitantly stretched out her right hand, paused for a moment, then lightly brushed the black mole under her left armpit.
“Hiss!”
That needle-like sensation from the shower struck again, causing tiny beads of sweat to form instantly on her forehead from the pain.
“What… what’s going on, little brother? I’m not in trouble, am I?”
Now it was her turn to hold her tongue, looking at Xu Fei with pleading eyes as if begging for help.
“This mole, did it appear recently after your cupping session, and have you noticed it growing bigger, with the pain only starting lately?”
Sobbing softly, she answered.
“Y-Yes… that’s right. One of my sisters pointed it out first. I touched it back then and didn’t feel anything, so I didn’t pay it much mind.”
“Then you’d better try to recall the details of that cupping session for me.”
Xu Fei pressed further, and the woman began to slowly piece together the events of that day.
In her line of work, back pain and soreness were common, so cupping was something they often did.
But that time, the shop she usually went to was closed, and she happened to notice a small place nearby she’d never visited before.
She asked about the price, and it was cheaper than her usual spot. Since she was in a lot of pain at the time, she decided to give it a go.
The cupping process itself was decent, the technique and comfort level were about the same as her regular place.
The only odd thing was that, for a brief moment during the session, she caught a whiff of a strange, foul odour. It vanished so quickly that she wondered if she’d imagined it.
