The night passed in silence.
The next day.
“What on earth happened to you last night? How did you suddenly go all stiff, like some temple statue? I couldn’t budge you no matter how hard I tried!”
The female technician looked at Xu Fei and asked.
“Nothing much, just cultivating. By the way, it’s already six in the morning, didn’t you say yesterday that you had something important to do today?”
Xu Fei slapped his forehead, realising it was already the next morning. He turned his head and saw the technician handing him her phone, which was playing a video of Dong Tianyi, Duanmu Lei, and others gallivanting in the private room.
“Not gonna lie, this video’s pretty wild!”
The technician giggled mischievously. Xu Fei shook his head, uninterested in engaging with it, and immediately asked her to send him the footage.
“Those guys in the room haven’t left yet, right?”
Xu Fei turned to her and asked.
“How could they leave now? They were at it until late last night, I’d be surprised if they wake up before this afternoon!”
Hearing this, Xu Fei felt reassured. He quickly instructed the technician to find a way to keep them occupied around noon, then left the man-eating Rich Flower Palace to head back to the hospital.
“Seriously, you didn’t even leave me your number? Not a shred of human decency!”
The technician watched Xu Fei’s retreating figure, her face full of mock resentment.
When Xu Fei returned, he went straight to the ward to rendezvous with Duanmu Qing.
Duanmu Qing had just woken up, and her face lit up when she saw Xu Fei walk in, but it clouded over the next second.
“Where were you last night? Why do you reek of perfume?”
Xu Fei’s heart skipped a beat at her words. How could he have forgotten to get rid of the perfume smell?
He’d left in such a hurry he hadn’t even showered, and now he’d been caught out.
But Xu Fei’s acting skills kicked in. Despite her questioning, he remained calm, putting on a look of regret and helplessness.
“Ugh, don’t even bring it up. I followed Dong Tianyi last night, and turns out your brother was… well, see for yourself!”
With that, he pulled out his phone, opened the video, and handed it to Duanmu Qing, deftly steering the conversation elsewhere.
Within seconds, Duanmu Qing understood what the men and women in the video were up to. When the camera panned to her brother Duanmu Lei’s smug, enjoying face, she flushed red and hurriedly shoved the phone back to Xu Fei.
“I can’t believe it, those two beasts, they really are cut from the same cloth!”
She immediately turned to Xu Fei with an apologetic expression, about to speak, but he waved it off nonchalantly. Not one to let things die down, he sent the video to Xiao Ai with a message attached.
“See this? Heaven rewards the diligent, your efforts finally paid off!”
Xiao Ai had been on the night shift and was still groggy.
She was just about to hand over to the morning shift colleagues when her phone pinged. She opened it casually and took a look.
“My God! Xiao Ai, it’s work hours, what are you watching?”
A sharp-eyed colleague glimpsed the video on her phone and gasped in shock.
Her outburst drew everyone’s attention, including some of the day-shift girls who’d been half-brainwashed by Dong Tianyi and were ready to throw themselves at him.
Xiao Ai’s face turned red as she paused the video right when Dong Tianyi appeared, then passed the phone around.
“Here, all of you take a good look. This is the real, ugly face of your beloved Director Dong Tianyi behind closed doors!”
Earlier that morning, a chatty colleague had already told the day shift about Xiao Ai’s encounter with Dong Tianyi’s harassment the previous day.
Even with video evidence, the brainwashed girls had been skeptical, some even claiming Xiao Ai had thrown herself at him and was now biting back out of spite.
But now, with this ironclad double video proof, everyone at the nurse’s station finally saw Dong Tianyi’s true colours.
And the power of the internet was immense.
While the day-shift nurses were still reeling in shock, Xiao Ai and a few close colleagues had already forwarded the video to every group chat in the hospital. In no time, Dong Tianyi’s name was once again buzzing at the First Hospital of the capital.
“No way, I can’t believe Director Dong is this kind of person?”
“I always said he’s a beast in a white coat, last time I went to his office to deliver a report late at night, he got handsy with me!”
“What are we waiting for? Let’s report this to the dean, we can’t have a beast like this in our hospital!”
The hospital’s group chats exploded, while back at Rich Flower Palace, Dong Tianyi was still sprawled on the sofa, blissfully lost in his dreamland of beauties.
“Get the hell up, all of you!”
The room reeked of debauchery. A burly man burst in, slamming the door open, a baseball bat in hand, banging it against the marble table with loud clangs.
But no matter how much noise he made, no one stirred. Frustrated, the man stepped out and called in a few others.
Two young guys came in with watering cans. At the burly man’s command, they started spraying water straight at the sleeping faces.
“Hey! Get up! Flood’s coming, flood’s coming! Run for it!”
Duanmu Lei jolted awake, leaping off the sofa, instinctively grabbing his clothes to flee. He got to the door only to be shoved back by a couple of hulking men with pecs bigger than his head.
Soon after, Wolf Bro and Dong Tianyi woke up too.
“Damn it! What the hell’s going on? Where’s my girl?”
True to his name, Wolf Bro was still fretting about his missing ladies even in a moment like this.
The burly man didn’t respond. Instead, he tossed a bill booklet onto the table.
“You’re still yapping about girls? Settle your damn tab first!”
“Tch, it’s just a bill, what, you think I can’t pay? Was it really necessary to treat my brothers like this?”
