“No wonder that stunning woman grew a mole under her armpit after coming here, and had that faint black mist lingering around her. So you put a curse on her!”
Xu Fei couldn’t help muttering to himself. If he’d known this place was dodgy, he’d never have come alone, and he wouldn’t be in this mess now.
“Stunning woman? Oh, I remember, you mean the one with the great figure? She’s my ninth target. Just one more successful curse, and I’ll master the technique Lord Evil King taught me!”
The massage parlour boss’s eyes gleamed with pride as he spoke, then he turned his gaze back to Xu Fei.
“But before that, I reckon I need to deal with a little rat, to stop him squealing and ruining my plans!”
No sooner had the boss finished speaking than he sat cross-legged again in front of the three small dishes. He began chanting, and within moments, flames flickered to life in the dishes!
“Hmph, kid! No use glaring at me, trust me, you won’t feel pain for long!”
The boss let out a cold sneer, his hands shifting gestures rapidly as his chants quickened. Xu Fei thrashed desperately, trying to break free and stop the curse, but his bound hands and feet, combined with the lingering effects of the strange sedative, left him immobile.
Suddenly, the flame in the dish of blood shot up over a metre high, and a surge of crimson mist hurtled toward Xu Fei with ferocious intent.
This mist was so vivid it could be seen with the naked eye, far more potent than the true qi Xu Fei had cultivated.
Initially, as a straightforward cultivator, Xu Fei’s true qi was purely for combat.
But later, after he began cultivating the Power of Yang, his true qi had transformed.
Part of his original true qi had split off, reserved specifically for his medical techniques.
“I’m done for, done for! Am I really going to die here today? If I’d known, I wouldn’t have poked my nose into this, or at least brought Bai Zhan and the others. What a bloody fool I am!”
Xu Fei’s heart was sinking, and though he felt unwilling to give up, it was clear that with the boss’s ambush and superior abilities, Xu Fei in his current state was no match.
Even if he was half-ready to throw in the towel, something inside him hadn’t given up. The pure Yang energy, always at his command, began stirring restlessly within his heart.
“What’s that? Even you want to scarper now, do you?”
Xu Fei sensed the intent from the pure Yang energy, shocked at first, then resigned.
“Doesn’t matter. Looks like I’m done for anyway. If you can escape, go for it!”
As the crimson mist, controlled by the boss, reached Xu Fei, he’d already released his hold on the pure Yang energy, letting it do as it pleased.
But the moment it was unbound, the pure Yang energy surged like a wild horse breaking free, charging out at breakneck speed. Xu Fei watched with a wry smile.
“Run, get as far as you can! Don’t come back!”
Just as he closed his eyes, bracing for death, he heard the boss cry out in shock.
“This… this can’t be! How did it turn out like this!”
