Talented Medical Son-in-law Chapter 1751

The Fengtian Tower, from the outside, appeared entirely like an ancient wooden building left over from bygone eras, covering a vast area and standing an impressive five stories tall.

It must be understood that constructing a fully wooden structure to such a height was no small feat.

This was merely the exterior. When Xu Fei led Hell’s Ear inside, they were truly startled by the sight before them.

Looking around, though the interior of Fengtian Tower seemed relatively bright, the illumination came entirely from candlelight!

Not a single light bulb or electric wire could be found in the entire establishment, and the patrons were all over fifty years old.

In such a crowd, Xu Fei and Hell’s Ear stood out starkly, feeling utterly out of place.

“Young Master Jun, what do we do? It feels like they’ve got their eyes on us!”

Hell’s Ear was far more nervous than Xu Fei. Though he had been on numerous missions, this was honestly his first time in a place like this, and he naturally felt uneasy.

Xu Fei, however, remained remarkably calm, speaking in a low voice.

“Relax. If you let your nerves get the better of you and slip up, that’s when we’ll really have problems, got it?”

Fortunately, Xu Fei was there. Though he had never been to this place either, he was adept at reading people and situations.

He instructed Hell’s Ear not to look at those in the corners of the tavern casting malicious glances their way and led him to the counter.

“You two look like new faces, don’t you?”

Behind the counter stood a proprietress, appearing to be in her thirties or forties.

Though she was getting on in years, she still exuded a certain charm.

For the old-timers in the tavern, a woman like her was likely the most captivating.

Xu Fei gave a slight smile, his eyes revealing a steely resolve.

“First time’s unfamiliar, second time’s like home, right? Last time I came with my second granduncle. It’s been a while, and I’ve actually missed this place a bit.”

His words seemed somewhat vague, but in truth, they gave the proprietress no useful information to latch onto.

“I see. So, what would you two like to order today?”

This question was no simple matter. Xu Fei had just claimed he’d been here before with his second granduncle.

If he couldn’t name some plausible dishes, he’d risk exposing himself!

Luckily, Xu Fei was quick-witted. On his way in, he had quietly observed the appetizers on several tables.

Now at the counter, he glanced at the menu and swiftly identified a few dishes that matched what he’d seen.

“These ones will do. Last time, I didn’t get to try the ones my second granduncle highly recommended. We’ll sit over there!”

After ordering, Xu Fei pointed to a corner on the east side of the first floor, paid, and led Hell’s Ear over without further ado.

Watching the retreating figures of Xu Fei and Hell’s Ear, the proprietress of Fengtian Tower gave a charming smile and instructed a waiter to take the order to the kitchen.

Meanwhile, Xu Fei and Hell’s Ear finally settled into their seats.

Xu Fei was fine, able to handle such situations with ease, but Hell’s Ear was struggling.

Ever since arriving, he had felt an oddly peculiar sensation and couldn’t help but ask Xu Fei a question.
