“Who the hell are you mocking with that snide tone? If you’re man enough, come over here and let’s have a go!”
“Yeah! A real man speaks with his fists, not just empty talk and fake moves!”
This group was clearly the typical local thugs you find everywhere, used to bullying others because they knew the lay of the land.
Xu Fei gave a slight smile, stood up with a whoosh, and turned around.
He noticed one of them, who seemed like the toughest of the lot, smashing a beer bottle with a loud crack, holding the jagged remains and glaring at him menacingly.
Xu Fei calmly picked up another bottle from the table, subtly activating his long-unused Mountain-Severing Finger.
Then, under everyone’s gaze, he effortlessly pierced the bottle with his finger!
The young couple nearby was stunned, quickly ducking to the side, afraid of getting caught in whatever might happen next.
Surprisingly, the thugs didn’t seem to grasp the significance of Xu Fei’s display. After a moment of shock, they burst into mocking laughter.
“Hahaha! I’m dying, brothers! Thought we’d met a real tough guy, but he’s just a street magician!”
Hearing this, Xu Fei knew that unless he showed some real skill, he wouldn’t get to eat in peace.
Since he’d already made his stance clear, he figured it was better to deal with these guys quickly.
So, Xu Fei acted decisively, and Hell Ear didn’t stand idle either.
Against this lot, Xu Fei alone would’ve been enough, let alone with Hell Ear’s help.
In the blink of an eye, the five or six thugs who’d been sitting smugly at the table were beaten unconscious, sprawling under the tables.
“You… you actually dared to lay hands on us? Fine, don’t you dare leave! We’re with the Gong family, just you wait, I’m calling for backup right now!”
The one who’d openly mocked Xu Fei’s “magic trick” was now terrified by his strength.
After spouting his threats and preparing to bolt, Xu Fei blocked his way.
“Hold on… did you say you’re with the Gong family?”
“What? Scared now, are you?”
Before the thug could get cocky, Xu Fei hoisted him high and slammed him hard onto the ground.
The effortless toss shut him up quick.
“We happen to have business with the Gong family. Once I’ve finished eating, you’ll lead the way, how’s that?”
“No… no problem, sir, just please don’t hit me again, I’ll do whatever you say!”
With that, no one dared cause trouble anymore, and Xu Fei had, by a stroke of luck, secured a guide, so he didn’t come out worse off.
Soon, Xu Fei and Hell Ear finished their meal. When paying, Xu Fei deliberately left extra to cover the damaged tables and chairs.
Then, dragging two unconscious thugs like dead pigs and with the surviving thug in tow, Xu Fei headed into a dark alley nearby.
“Major, what are you doing?” Hell Ear asked, clearly surprised to see Xu Fei stripping the thugs’ clothes.
“What do you think? We’re taking their clothes to wear and sneak into the Gong family, obviously, what else would I be doing?”
Xu Fei hadn’t ruled out entering openly, but the tricky part was ensuring Ma San Laizi’s safety.
