Talented Medical Son-in-law Chapter 1779

“Watch out! Hide to the side, quick!”

Xu Fei instinctively sensed something was amiss. He had infiltrated stealthily, so how could he have been discovered?

Hearing Xu Fei’s command, Ma Sanlaizi knew he couldn’t afford to be a burden and hurriedly ducked to the side.

But then, he heard a strange, arrogant laugh.

“I never thought Lord Evil King’s orders to stand guard here would pay off. To think I’d catch you two little rats!”

Xu Fei looked up and saw the figure illuminated by the light.

From the man’s attire, appearance, and the weapon at his waist, it was easy to discern his identity.

“You… you’re a ronin from Country R? What’s going on? How did you infiltrate China?” Xu Fei found this situation highly unusual. By all accounts, someone like this shouldn’t be here.

Back when Xu Fei was still in service, he had encountered such ronin.

Through prolonged dealings, he knew these men were dangerous extremists driven by fanatical beliefs.

Upon recognising the man’s identity, Xu Fei’s expression shifted.

“You recognise me? Looks like you’ve got a sharp eye. No wonder Lord Evil King calls you an old friend!” the blue-haired man said.

Though he referred to Xu Fei as an “old friend” with apparent warmth, his eyes betrayed no trace of friendliness.

Moreover, the mention of “Lord Evil King” reminded Xu Fei of the same figure referenced by the gu master he had encountered before.

“Who is this Lord Evil King you speak of? What’s his connection to the gu master?” Xu Fei pressed.

At the mention of “gu master,” the blue-haired man’s face darkened, as if Xu Fei had touched on something he’d rather forget.

“Don’t mention those two words in front of me! Stop yammering with your questions. Only the one left standing gets to ask anything!” the blue-haired man snapped, clearly enraged.

He crouched low, his piercing gaze fixed on Xu Fei.

Xu Fei was no stranger to this stance. Alarmed, he swiftly flung several silver needles into the air as a defensive measure.

“Blade Draw Slash!”

With a furious roar, the blue-haired man drew his sword with astonishing speed. Ma Sanlaizi, hiding nearby, couldn’t even follow the motion.

A sharp *ding* rang out as the silver needles Xu Fei had thrown were sliced clean in half mid-air!

“Interesting. I don’t know what trick you used to block my Blade Draw Slash, but there won’t be a next time!” the blue-haired man said, glancing at the shattered needles on the ground, a confident smirk curling his lips.

Those needles had been Xu Fei’s instinctive reaction.

The moment he saw the man’s stance, he recalled his past encounters with ronin, where he’d learned this was a technique nearly all of them mastered.

Though it was a common move, lacking novelty, as the saying goes, “Master one technique, and you can conquer the world.” When honed to perfection, this move could split mountains and shatter stones!

Most crucially, the technique’s stealth was formidable.

Whenever a man with a samurai sword at his waist assumed this stance, you had to be on high alert.

Who could predict whether the opponent was a novice or a master?
