Xu Fei woke to the absence of running water, assuming in his daze that Bai Feng had left for her own room. He got up and walked to the bathroom door.

So, he reached to grab her hands to calm her down and explain.
But the moment he caught her hands, Bai Feng’s panic peaked, her fear turning to boundless rage.
With strength she didn’t know she had, she shoved Xu Fei, knocking him down.
Still gripping her hands, Xu Fei pulled her along, and they both tumbled to the floor.
Xu Fei hit the ground first, cushioned by a soft carpet, feeling little discomfort.
