The boss leapt from the van, spotting Xu Fei’s decoy standing still, back turned, doing something unclear.

A few underlings seemed cautious, but their boss, desperate for glory, was undeterred.
He shouted, “One guy against a dozen of us? What tricks can he pull? Rush him!”
With that, the boss led the charge, but the decoy turned, facing them.
“You didn’t really think I was cornered, did you?”
The decoy sneered, then unleashed formidable strength, easily dispatching the crew.
A rigorously trained Chinese operative, his skills far outstripped these thugs.
After taking down the last one at the entrance, he touched his face, feeling slight cracks in his disguise mask.
“Looks like I can’t keep relying on force. Time to outsmart them.”
Meanwhile, the real Xu Fei, with Bai Feng, drove to near Zhubin University.
Pu Tao, still in the country, had rented them an apartment, a temporary haven.
After parking, Xu Fei busied himself hauling luggage inside.
He and Bai Feng checked the two-bedroom, one-living-room apartment. Though small, it was well-equipped, and both were pleased.
Then Xu Fei’s phone rang. The voice on the other end spoke urgently.
“Major General! I’m in Zhubin City. Just took out the Kawashima family’s first batch of scouts, but they’ll likely send more!”
Xu Fei knew this was highly confidential. Only his decoy would speak so directly.
“No need for formalities,” Xu Fei replied. “You were chosen as my decoy for a tough, dangerous mission.”
“Whatever happens, prioritise your safety. Contact me if anything comes up!”
After hanging up, Xu Fei helped Bai Feng unpack and set up the room.
At the same time, Qian Jiahang, with ulterior motives, had followed them.
The apartment was near small standalone houses, making it convenient for Qian Jiahang to act.
But as he parked, he saw Xu Fei park in the apartment’s public lot, scratching his head.
“Guess I need to find out which floor and unit they’re in.”

A slight smirk curved his lips as he chuckled softly.

Not that Xu Fei planned to engage him directly, but he hoped Qian Jiahang had some real skills, not just a playboy chasing girls—that would be too dull.
