Talented Medical Son-in-law Chapter 1960

As soon as Kawashima Miki stepped out, a masked figure appeared out of nowhere, knocked her out with a swift chop to the neck, hoisted her over their shoulder, and fled.

Xu Fei, trailing behind, soon noticed Miki speeding up to shake him off.

He didn’t dare accelerate, knowing her haste likely stemmed from her growing dislike of him.

If he suddenly sped up to chase her, he’d seem no better than a creep.

So, Xu Fei kept his distance, using his clairvoyant vision to monitor the situation.

But as he watched, he suddenly spotted the masked figure darting out from the alley and instantly grew alarmed. “Damn it! This is bad!”

Without hesitation, Xu Fei rushed forward, but the attacker was clearly prepared.

The masked figure in black, having knocked out Miki, slung her over their shoulder and jumped into a van that screeched up beside them.

Xu Fei glanced around, cursing the lack of conveniences like shared bikes, unlike back home.

Spotting a guy’s bicycle parked nearby, Xu Fei dashed over, tossed a stack of cash, and pedalled off.

“Hey! That’s my bike!” The owner shouted, chasing after him, but stopped when he saw the money.

Not long after the masked figure and Miki were in the van, the driver noticed something odd in the rearview mirror. “Boss, what’s going on? Why’s some guy on a bicycle tailing us?”

The boss glanced at the mirror and scoffed, “Who cares? Just speed up and lose him. You’re in a car, why panic?”

The boss, overseeing the kidnapping, didn’t believe Xu Fei was there to save Miki, certainly not someone from the Kawashima family.

No rescuer would be so pathetic as to chase on a bicycle instead of a car.

The driver, following orders, floored it, but after a while, they realised something was wrong.

The cyclist was still behind them, despite their acceleration.

“Boss! I can’t shake that guy!”

The boss checked the dashboard, seeing they were hitting 120 km/h. A cyclist keeping up at that speed?

“Damn fool, looking to die? Lure him to that abandoned warehouse nearby. We’ll stop and take him out!”

The boss patted the dark object tucked at his waist, brimming with confidence.

“Got it, Boss!”

Xu Fei, trailing behind, quickly noticed the van change direction.

He didn’t mind. If they’d stayed in the busy city, he’d have hesitated to make a scene, but he’d have caught up long ago.

Seeing them head toward a more remote area, Xu Fei wasn’t scared, he was pleased.

The van roared on, finally stopping at a desolate, abandoned warehouse, surrounded by nothing but emptiness.

“Boss, that kid actually followed us!”
