“Until Xu Fei passes the tests arranged by the family, I absolutely won’t acknowledge him as Kazuo Kawashima’s disciple!”
With that, Yumi, unwilling to argue further, opened the door and left.
But as she stepped out, she saw Miki standing there, and her angry expression instantly softened into a smile.
“Miki, did you hear everything?”
“Yes, I heard…” Miki replied.
Yumi walked over, gently patting Miki’s head with a fond expression.
“Don’t blame me, I’m just thinking of the family’s interests. Your father’s being a bit too stubborn right now. Even if Xu Fei is your boyfriend, we need to verify his identity, understand?”
