Talented Medical Son-in-law Chapter 1998

Kawashima Miki, with her young girl’s heart, felt much happier just having Xu Fei by her side.

Eventually, their sweet and lingering date came to an end. Miki had to go to class, and Xu Fei didn’t try to keep her longer.

After all, Xu Fei now had a task from Kawashima Yosuke and needed to return to the family promptly.

Driving quickly, Xu Fei soon arrived at the family’s headquarters and found Kawashima Yosuke.

“Did you receive my letter?” Yosuke asked, his expression softening upon seeing Xu Fei. He began busying himself with brewing tea.

Xu Fei nodded honestly, pulling out the letter. “Of course! But there are some things I’d like to ask about.”

What Xu Fei wanted to ask about was the incident with the three ninjas he encountered the previous night.

As Kawashima Ichiro’s disciple, Xu Fei could ask such questions boldly without fear of exposing his identity.

After Xu Fei recounted the previous night’s events, Yosuke’s eyes gleamed with approval. “From what you’re saying, you encountered a three-man team led by at least one mid-level ninja with two low-level ninjas, and you took them all out by yourself?”

Xu Fei replied calmly, neither arrogant nor humble, “Something like that. What I’m most curious about is what kind of techniques those guys were using.”

This was the crux of Xu Fei’s questions, as knowing both himself and his enemy was the key to victory.

Xu Fei wasn’t very familiar with the unique group known as ninjas.

Yosuke, aware that Xu Fei was about to undertake a challenging test with significant risks, would have personally trained him to improve his chances if time weren’t so tight.

Since Xu Fei was asking sincerely, Yosuke didn’t hold back and shared everything he knew.

In truth, ninjas weren’t too different from what Xu Fei had guessed. They weren’t vastly distinct from Eastern cultivators.

Both relied on true qi as the foundation for their techniques.

The difference lay in the fact that Eastern Chinese cultivators focused more on advancing their cultivation realms.

Ninjas, by contrast, placed greater emphasis on practicality and efficiency.

In other words, becoming a ninja here meant that as long as you were highly effective, it didn’t matter if you remained a low-level ninja forever.

The various escape techniques used by ninjas, such as thunder escape, fire escape, or wind escape, were based on the elemental changes of true qi, which differed slightly from Chinese cultivators.

Chinese cultivators didn’t particularly focus on such elemental changes and often preferred attributeless true qi.

This was likely the biggest difference between cultivators and ninjas.

Xu Fei nodded as he listened, inwardly delighted. This information was effortlessly valuable.

Still, he kept up appearances, making a solemn promise in front of Yosuke. “Don’t worry, those guys provoked me before I even made a move.”
