As the surging waters on the ground gradually receded, no one was left alive.
All the guards from the Hengjiang and Qiushan families had been wiped out!
“These techniques are quite useful, though it’s a pity I couldn’t draw out more of them!” Xu Fei murmured to himself, glancing back at the remaining guards from the Kawashima family.
They stood dumbfounded, never expecting Xu Fei to single-handedly defeat so many guards—more like utterly dominate and crush them.
When Xu Fei had started fighting, they’d been ready to back him up at a moment’s notice.
Especially when he turned to look at them, many still held ninja technique seals, prepared to act.

The Kawashima guards nodded numbly and began working.
But as they cleared the battlefield, Xu Fei stopped one of them.
“Wait, leave that guy’s body to me.”
The guard he stopped was about to handle the corpse of the Hengjiang family’s guard captain.
Hearing Xu Fei, the guard nodded and moved to another area, while Xu Fei kept the body for his own purposes.
“If I’m not mistaken, the Qiushan family lost Qiushan Hongyi, so they’ll likely send a large force next. But the Hengjiang family doesn’t seem to have a reason for a full-scale battle yet. Let’s give them one.”
Xu Fei then contacted the Kawashima family’s patriarch through their guard captain.
“What’s up, Xu Fei? Things going smoothly there? Need me to send reinforcements?” Kawashima Yosuke asked.
Xu Fei shook his head. “No need for reinforcements. I’ll be back soon with a surprise. You’ll see when I get there.”
Kawashima Yosuke hesitated, wondering why Xu Fei was returning so soon.
But then he recalled Xu Fei only said he was going to prepare, not that he wouldn’t return.
Xu Fei swapped the guard uniform for his own clothes, took the Hengjiang guard captain’s body, and returned to Kawashima Yosuke.
“This is the surprise you brought? If I’m not mistaken, this is the captain of the Hengjiang family’s guards stationed at the ancestral land, right?” Kawashima Yosuke remarked, eyeing the corpse.
“Exactly. I took out all the guards from the other families except ours. This is the proof,” Xu Fei replied.
Kawashima Yosuke was stunned, thinking Xu Fei was a monster.
Thankfully, Xu Fei had joined Kawashima Ichifu’s faction and become an ally. If the Hengjiang or Qiushan families had recruited him, the Kawashima family would be doomed.
“You didn’t need to bring proof. I trust you completely. Anything else?” Kawashima Yosuke asked.
Xu Fei paused before continuing, “Have you sent anyone to secretly monitor the Qiushan family’s movements lately?”
“Of course! My scouts report that the Qiushan family appears idle on the surface but is secretly amassing a large force. They’re likely planning something big for the next ancestral land dispute,” Kawashima Yosuke replied.
Xu Fei nodded, thinking this was the expected reaction from the Qiushan family.
