“No need,” Charlie wade shook his head and said casually, “I just need to borrow the tea knife.”
Christine wade retrieved a silver tea knife from under the tea table. Shaped like an arrowhead from ancient times, it was mainly used to pry apart the hard Pu’er tea cake.
Charlie wade took the tea knife and, from his pocket, pulled out a Rejuvenation Pill.
The moment the pill appeared, Lord wade was utterly shocked.
Christine wade didn’t react as quickly. She had never taken or seen a Rejuvenation Pill before, so she wasn’t as attuned to its significance.
Lord wade felt his heart pounding, his pulse racing to his throat.
Then, under everyone’s gaze, Charlie wade used the tea knife to slice the Rejuvenation Pill in half down the middle.
A fresh, medicinal fragrance filled the air. Charlie wade handed one half to Lord wade and said, “Grandfather, I’m deeply grateful that you passed the position of family head to me. Lord wade trembled with excitement.
He never imagined he’d have another chance to receive a Rejuvenation Pill.
