Stephen Thompson gave a bitter smile, “As far as I know, with the young master’s current strength, even three or five of him might not be a match for that old monster.”
He fixed his wrinkled yet clear eyes on Claire Wilson and sighed, “Madam Wade, this is why I’m asking you to temporarily leave the young master. All this time, the reason he hasn’t told you these secrets must be because he didn’t want you to get involved. While this protected you, it also placed a great burden on him, diverting much of his energy.”
“Take your mother, Ms. Elaine, for example. She went missing for a while, you must remember that?”
Claire Wilson nodded, “Yes, my mother said she was tricked into a pyramid scheme.”
“That’s not true,” Stephen Thompson shook his head, “Your mother stole the young master’s bank card, which held 10 billion RMB entrusted to me by the old master for the young master. After she figured out the card’s password, she transferred all the money to herself. The young master, fearing his identity would be exposed, lied and said the card was a fake created by a syndicate, ensuring your mother had no doubts. He had no choice but to let the police detain her in a holding cell for a few days. Unfortunately, your grandmother and cousin were in the same cell, and your mother suffered some injuries at their hands.”
Hearing this, Claire Wilson hesitated briefly but soon realised this was exactly her mother’s style. If she saw that Charlie wade’s card held billions, she would definitely transfer the money first.
At this thought, she felt deeply ashamed.
It turned out that not only had she and her parents been protected by Charlie wade all along, but they had also constantly caused trouble for him.
While Charlie wade bore a blood feud, her family not only failed to help him but kept draining his energy and holding him back.
With this realisation, she understood why Stephen Thompson wanted her to leave Charlie wade.

Her face was now streaked with tears, filled with heartache, shame, and, above all, reluctance.
Her heartache was for Charlie wade’s tragic fate and the hardships he had endured all these years.
Her shame stemmed from the fact that she had never truly fulfilled her duties as a good wife, failing to ease her husband’s burdens and always needing his covert help, while her parents constantly caused him trouble.
As for her reluctance, she realised that in this situation, for Charlie wade’s safety and his path to vengeance, she could no longer stay and hold him back.
So, she asked Stephen Thompson, “How do you want me to leave Charlie wade? Should I pretend I don’t know any of this and ask for a divorce, or should I just leave without a word?”
Stephen Thompson hurriedly said, “It must be leaving without a word. If you ask for a divorce, it would be a huge blow to the young master, affecting his cultivation and mindset.”
Claire Wilson asked again, “If I leave without a word, won’t he look for me?”
Stephen Thompson said, “You can rest assured on that point. I, too, once left without a word for certain reasons, and I was worried the young master would find me. Claire Wilson gave a bitter smile, “It seems you’ve already planned everything.”
