Charlie wade smiled faintly. “Such a place is rare to visit. I might as well accompany you to enjoy the scenery.”
A gleam of joy flashed in Lin Wan’er’s eyes. She nodded shyly and gently.
At this moment in the Drake Passage, fierce winds whipped up deep blue waves tinged with black. The entire sea surface boiled like seething water, heaving unpredictably. It could hardly be called scenery.
Yet Charlie wade gazed at this violent ocean, lost in thought.
For this trip to Antarctica, he had prepared to endure the entire Antarctic winter. He wondered what encounters awaited him on the mysterious Antarctic continent over the coming half-year or more.
Unlike the conventional four seasons, those dealing with Antarctica divided its seasons simply into summer and winter. Summer ran from November to March, winter from April to October. Winter was relatively longer, lasting a full seven months.
In the coming seven months, no tourists would visit the Antarctic continent. All commercial vessels would cease operations completely. Currently, a few research ships still plied the routes. By late April, navigation to the Antarctic continent would halt entirely. Even research vessels could not handle the extreme temperatures then.
In other words, by that time, anyone on the Antarctic continent wishing to leave would be unable, waiting until October for navigation to resume.
Half a year in a blink. Charlie wade could not help worrying in his heart. If family, friends, or subordinates encountered trouble during this period, he would be too far away in Antarctica to assist.
As for his wife, Claire Wilson, he was even more powerless to search for her. He could only pray for her safety.
Seeing Charlie wade’s distracted expression, Lin Wan’er asked with concern, “Young master, are you uneasy about matters at home?”

Lord wade then said, “Very well. I shall arrange the ancestor worship. Rest assured. This year, only direct Wade family members may attend. All branch members are barred from coming to the capital.”
Charlie wade felt relieved and replied, “Then it will be hard on grandfather.”
After sending the message, he saw his grandfather reply, “We are all one family. No need for such words.”
However, he did not respond further, simply setting the phone aside.
Just as he was about to chat idly with Lin Wan’er, the phone suddenly received another WeChat message.
Opening it, he saw it was not from grandfather Lord wade, but from Li Yalin.
He clicked to play the voice message Li Yalin had sent. Li Yalin’s tense voice came through. “Mr Wade, our Skynet system has just captured facial features of the Poqing Society’s three great elders in Buenos Aires!”
