Yao Shen laid down the three principles of chivalry.
Principle 1: Search for treasures and find the most valuable ones to bring back.
Principle 2: Killing the enemy is secondary to the search for treasure.
Principle 3: Return as soon as possible and pay attention to safety.
If there is a conflict between the three principles, follow principle III.
Nevid honours the divine will.
Treasure, above all.
Enemies, unimportant.
Time, important.
Safety, be careful.
Coming to this strange world, Nevid was weakened by the power of the rules. Both abilities [Corrupted Manufacture] and [Flesh and Blood Suffering Weakness] were sealed by the rules, and the movement speed was also reduced by a lot.
Because of [Ghost White Horse], the Blood Knight was able to sneak under the cover of advanced camouflage.
As a knight, judging the situation was a basic combat quality.
Nevid mounted his white horse and travelled around the shard world as fast as he could.
The world was small, with only one continent. The outskirts of the continent were deserts and barren hills, dry and hot, with only a small area in the centre having a suitable climate.
Endless flames surrounded this piece of land, and the shore area was filled with scorching magma and black residue.
The sea of fire is alive with a large number of fire elemental creatures, which occasionally wash ashore and move about, leaving thick smoke and scorching black marks on the ground.
The only water in the hot, dry world comes from the sky.
The sky is inhabited by a cloud giant, which is so large that it spends long hours sleeping in the clouds. Once it wakes up, it gets up and urinates towards the ground.
The urine of this huge creature, which becomes rain, is the only source of water for the land.
Watching the land creatures grab their urine always amused the cloud giant, and when it laughed, it blew the clouds around.
And on the continent, there lived a group of dwarves. They have strong bodies, thick beards, and specialise in the use of hammers and axes.
The dwarves often cursed the shameless vulgarity of the cloud giants while they went around collecting water drops that fell from the air.
Nevid looked at the [Treasure Hunting Compass] in his hand.
The treasures and dangers …… of this world are in the fire.
The Lord of the Gods demands an early return and no time should be wasted.
So it has to be done quickly.
Blood Knight goes into battle mode.
He rode into the sea of fire, cloaking and decapitating obstructionists along the way, killing corpses everywhere he went.
Nevid rode his horse wildly through the flames, and the many fire elemental creatures he drove were scattered in all directions, as if they were sheep encountering a shepherd.
After he had been killing for nearly half a month, the high level monsters finally couldn’t hold back, and one by one, they burrowed out from the depths of the sea of flames, launching a siege on the outsiders.
Facing many strong enemies, the Blood Knight enjoyed himself extremely.
Fighting was his way of serving Yao God.
But it wasn’t long before Nevid became bored.
It was too weak.
The fire elemental creatures here were simply too weak, and even the current batch of higher monsters could not even compare to those opponents in the abyss.
Regardless of whether it was instant combat power, ability, or will to fight, it wasn’t even on the same level.
Nevid really wasn’t interested in dealing with a bunch of stray fish.
The damage they inflicted on themselves was not even close to the forced damage from the flame burns.
The Blood Knight killed his way deeper into the sea of fire.
The real enemy finally showed up.
The Ruler of the Sea of Fire was an imperial elephant the size of a mountain range, with flames making up its hide and the ramming horn-like pronged tusks of a ship, and the four eyes on its head resembling four deep wounds.
Its eyes are usually closed, but when they open they cause a monstrous wave of fire, and the white blazing flames they provoke would be too much for even elemental creatures to endure.
The Imperial Giant Elephant strolled in the depths of the magma, each step would set off tumbling waves of inflammation in the sea of fire, and the entire sea of fire moved around it, arching in defence of this master of fire.
“Where did that bug come from.”
The Imperial Elephant looked out of the corner of his eye at Nevid.
The Blood Knight charges with his sword in response to his enemy’s scorn!
The giant elephant didn’t move fast, but all it needed was to breathe and swing its trunk to turn the sea of fire into a ubiquitous and terrifying weapon. It easily manoeuvres the sea of fire, leaving the Blood Knights frequently injured.
Nevid couldn’t remember how many times he had been pushed into a corner by his opponent, his armour had long been twisted and deformed by the heat.
However, under the [Ghost White Horse] gifted by the gods, he relied on his speed advantage and battle sense to avoid the fatal blow and withdraw from the danger zone in time.
The Blood Knight frequently retreated to the shore and waited to recover before coming back to challenge.
Gradually, he figured out his opponent’s fighting style.
All of Nevid’s equipment also played a huge role.
The [Withering Crown] minimised the movement speed of the Imperial Giant Elephant, making it look like a clumsy land creature in a sea of fire. The Giant Elephant looked imposing, but because it was too slow, it was difficult for its body to touch the Blood Knight.
[Taunt Scissors] Not only did it provide a certain amount of defence, but it also enabled Taunt to pull the Imperial Giant Elephant when it was annoyed and disgusted and wanted to leave. Further sap the opponent’s will to fight, exposing the behemoth’s brokenness.
The [Head of Greed], on the other hand, constantly devours the enemy’s flesh and blood during perennial battles, growing and metamorphosing at a speed never before seen ……
The fine equipment given by the gods made Nevid immensely grateful.
Without the aid of these powerful treasures, he would have stood no chance against the Emperor Giant Elephant.
The Blood Knight frequently entered the sea of fire and fought the army of fire elementals led by the Emperor Giant Elephant. After being on the verge of his limit, he quickly returned to the shore to rest and recover before stepping into the fire once again ……
The Emperor Giant Elephant was unable to leave the sea of fire, and the fire elemental creatures that could leave the sea of fire posed no threat to Nevid.
The battle went on like this, week after week.
The scars on his armour grew, the deformities grew worse, but Nevid took pleasure in it.
He felt it clearly.
In the face of unprecedentedly strong enemies and desperate situations, he was growing by leaps and bounds at a speed he had never seen before.
Whether it was attack, defence, speed or all kinds of abilities, there was an all-round improvement, and this steady getting stronger made him addicted to it.
He enjoyed killing with the Emperor Giant Elephant.
At the end of his first year, Nevid was still in a sorry state when he retreated, often covered in wounds and dying.
By the second year, he was in and out of trouble, and was able to leave with ease when wounded.
By the third year, Nevid was able to go head-to-head with the Imperial Giant Elephant, coming and going.
In the fourth year, Nevid began to overpower this old master of the fire.
Now it’s year five.
Nevid, the Blood Knight, has once again arrived at his faithful Sea of Fire.
The fire elemental creatures were shivering, and they prostrated themselves on the ground, not daring to move.
The old king of old was chased all the way by Nevid and fled in haste to the depths of the sea of fire, retreating again and again.
In the eyes of all the fire elemental creatures, this undead knight on a white horse was the new king of the Sea of Fire, the master of fire and the ruler of the world.
Nevid adjusted himself to his best condition, and with the fire elemental creatures leading the way along the way, he locked on to the new fleeing ground of the Imperial Giant Elephant.
This was the local code of the powerful: how the fire elemental creatures used to block incoming enemies for the Imperial Elephants, and how they now hunted the old kings for Nevid, the new ruler.
Nevid didn’t care.
The [Treasure Hunting Compass] was pointing at the Imperial Giant Elephant, and even without the help of the fire elemental creatures, he was able to lock onto the opponent’s location.
Eventually, he found the giant elephant that was healing.
“You damned monster! How dare you! And you lowly scum, how dare you betray me!”
The Imperial Giant Elephant roared angrily, and the sea of magma and fire was stirred up in layers of red waves.
With his white horse and great sword, Nevid launched a final charge towards the mountain-like monster.
The flame elemental creatures around them roared to bolster the momentum.
“Kill it! Kill it!”
“Immortal Knight! Immortal Knight!”
“Invincible Fire King, Invincible Fire King!”
……
One by one, the formerly obedient minions turned against the invaders and became their soldiers and minions, making the Imperial Giant Elephant even more furious.
It also knew that there was no turning back now.
There could be only one ruler in the sea of fire!
The giant elephant was ablaze with pale flames and stomped on the tiny white horse rider with all its might. The opponent transformed into a white light, tearing a hideous wound in its broad carapace.
The Imperial Giant Elephant threw back its head and spewed out hot flames, drowning everything around it. The fire elemental creatures were heavily killed and injured, and each of them frantically fled for their lives.
The gruesome death struggle without any turnaround lasted for a day.
The Blood Knight stood at the end.
The giant beast that had ruled the Sea of Fire for an unknown number of years collapsed completely, and its massive body turned into flames, returning to this crimson sea.
Nevid got his trophy from inside the giant elephant.
[Muspelheim Firebox]
When he held this prop in his hand, the fire element of the entire sea of fire was sucked away by the Fire Box as much as possible. All that was left around was the dry, blackened ground and the heat and smoke that had yet to dissipate.
The fire elemental creatures were all shocked and terrified.
“Fire King! Are you leaving?”
“Can you take me with you? Lord Fire King!”
“Please, King, I will be your most loyal servant.”
……
To the Blood Knight, these fire elemental creatures were not treasures and were worthless.
He put away the [Fire Box] and turned his attention to the sky.
The Blood Knight pointed his sword at the cloud giants in the air and charged tirelessly.
After the white horse rider left, the fire elemental creatures cried and wailed over the loss of their home.
