Adult split earthworms are transcendent beings and are unaffected. However, when the splinter had not yet metamorphosed into two adults, they were ordinary beings and could be transformed by the Ember Sun.

The surface of the Ember Descent Earthworm was pitch-black and more robust than the normal Split Earthworm, it had a higher value and an additional [Ember Descent] ability in its panel.
