What is a god?
It has always been debated among the gods.
But in the opinion of the God of Glass, to be a god is to be beyond.
Beyond the past, beyond the present, beyond the existing and beyond.
Tomorrow is the god of today.
All beings that are too powerful to be understood in the eyes of the weak can be called gods.
The meaning of godhood is to transcend, to transcend understanding and limits, to transcend existing rules and restrictions, until one enters the ultimate realm of omniscience and omnipotence.
This is the path to godhood.
There are no shortcuts, no excuses, and no room for euphemisms.
Once stagnation occurs, the gods will gradually lose their divinity.
Exaltation is the decency and majesty that gods must have.
Therefore, the gods must distance themselves from all other existences and look down on everything else in the world, not to be looked at directly, not to be touched, and not to be conceived of.
At the slightest hint of the Kingdom of God going beyond what was expected, the Glass God would snuff it out.
It never pleases Him, but instead brings shame and indignity every time it happens.
It was an abomination because of the lack of power, and it was always a worry because of the failure to exceed.
The Bo God envied those crazy gods who fed on war, who embraced utter madness and sycophancy, and so cared for nothing else at all, killing and war were their desires and the path to advancement.
But for the Glass God, war was the only way for Him to escape from weakness.
To a god, the cruelest thing was to be too level-headed and unable to fulfil one’s ambitions with one’s abilities.
The Bo God knew very well that he did not possess the gift of excellence.
Neither did he have the wisdom to control all beings with ease, nor did he have the ability and creativity to be gifted.
He knew that it would be difficult for him to balance a world with many species and a huge population. He had tried recruiting subordinate gods and growing steadily, but in the end, it was a succession of internal conflicts and chaos in the divine Kingdom, resulting in a great deal of damage to both his own divinity and his divine body.
The Glass God crystallised and extracted the generics and all potential threats, turning them into absolutely loyal flames of faith.
He chose the most prudent approach.
Controlling the population to a limit He could grasp, exterminating species with uncontrollable factors, and completely removing the transcendent individuals mutated from the human population.
Simplifying the entire world even further to make it easier to navigate and control – though also destroying the potential.
He had to mould Himself into a harsh and cold war god with the bloodiest and sharpest sword, as well as the most direct and hearty boons, which facilitated the orderly functioning of the divine kingdom under divine might.
The entire Glass God Realm was like a tired and restless wolf that had to keep feeding. The taste of blood and its writhing intestines could keep it excited, forgetting the soreness and pain of its body.
The god of glass wields a whip and drives the hungry wolf to keep attacking its prey in order to unleash its ferocity and plunder the spoils.
He knew that this had a low ceiling, and there was little hope of going further and gaining the title.
Once the hunting stopped, that was when this hungry wolf completely collapsed.
The Glass God tried a solution.
He was attached to the title deity [Fearless One], and almost all of the gods under Fearless One’s command were on the war route.
With the Fearless One’s shelter, this rocky path might turn around.
But it was only after actually becoming a Genus God that the Glass God realised that he was wrong.
The Fearless One didn’t care at all about the future of the Dependent God, He only needed the ready power of the present. This Titled God was fanatical about attacking, launching one divine battle after another, and even the battle-hardened Bo God felt exhausted.
The protracted battle between the [Fearless One] and the [Flayed One] finally came to an end, and the Glass God welcomed a long overdue period of post-battle restoration. But now He couldn’t rest, He had to continue attacking and waging war.
He had to grow stronger, or else the next battle could be the time to fall.
The Bolshoi God sometimes felt ridiculous.
The gods had the name of gods, but not the reality of gods.
As a member of the mediocre Gods, without even a title, one could indeed only be considered a humble creep.
Like quadrupeds leaving their burrows, the gods carefully searched for food in the Crawling Zone, dodging the occasional powerful enemy that passed by.
Such was the current state of affairs in the Crawl Zone.
The happiest time for the gods of Bo was during the time of the trainee gods.
It was then that He entered this marvellous foreign world, everything was incomparably fresh, everything was full of hope, and even one more believer would make Him happy for a long time.
Since when did all this disappear?
He did not know.
All He knew was that He was tired.
It was as if invisible shackles had been placed on His back, and He was being pushed and shoved forward, forward, and the slightest pause would send Him plunging into an abyss of ten thousand feet. He did not know what the future would be, He could only follow and continue to squeeze forward, even if His legs had long been overwhelmed, even if His mind had been muddled ……
The discovery of the Uzi Kingdom gave the Glass God a glimmer of light.
With the newest gods born locally, there were still believers of special elemental classes in that world.
They would become the new fuel for the divine kingdom, driving the fire of faith and continuing to push this chariot to roll forward.
……
The legions of the Empire continued to advance, crushing every single Uzi that dared to stand in their way. The living Uzi were quality believers, and the dead Uzi could be used as high quality material for smelting and casting.
The Glass God looked down on the battle line advancing all the way, and the Wuzhi were being beaten back.
The Apostle Shahn who had infiltrated the Crystal City was found out and hunted down and killed, and the one remaining Earth Demon statue was pestered by the Blood Axe Shahn, exhausted.
Everything on the battlefield was going in the direction the Empire wanted.
The turning point came from an accidental overlap.
The God of Glass manipulated the Divine Kingdom with the Flame of Faith and crashed into King Uzi’s slow Divine Kingdom. Unfortunately, there was a slight mishap midway through, and it collided with a piece of drifting debris world, veering off a bit.
But that wasn’t a problem.
The Glass God took the opportunity to play and directly stuck the fragmented world, using the power of its rules to pull and lock the Uzi Kingdom firmly in place.
Apostles Yanihu and Kahlo chased the Sandman all the way into the Overlap Zone, and after killing him, they began to gather the Uzi people and convert the Faith.
Although the Shard World was in shambles, it was maintained by the power of basic rules, and it was more sound than most god kingdoms.
Without a special passage or the intervention of the main god, the gods and apostles from the outside world were unable to cross the overlap zone and enter it.
It was also pointless to enter, because as far as the gods were concerned, the Shard World was nothing more than a discarded rubbish dump, and even if a few flowers could occasionally blossom inside, rubbish was still rubbish after all.
The truly valuable species and spaces inside had long since been cut up and taken away by the ascending gods.
However, right in the overlap zone, Yanihu and Karo successively extinguished their flames of faith, not even having the time to send back any messages.
This ruined the good mood of the Bo God.
Yanihu and Karo were not weak, and it was impossible for the Sand People to kill them back. Before that they had reported that the Sandman had been executed.
The greatest possibility was that King Uzi had struck.
That’s why the two apostles couldn’t react in time and were killed near instantly. Only the gods could have this kind of ability.
The Glass God sneered in his heart.
Using this method, it was obvious that he was trying to lure himself into the overlap zone, where there was more than likely some kind of powerful arrangement and trap by King Uzi.
As the party with a solid victory, there was no need to take any risks.
The death of the two Apostles was certainly a pity, but it also consumed King Uzi’s power of faith. This also proved from the side that King Uzi was indeed at his wits’ end, actually resorting to this kind of ambush and sneak attack to deal with the apostles.
A servant like the Apostle could be transformed by simply having the Apostle Seal. He had exchanged a few of them in the Dreadnought camp and still had them.
The Glass God didn’t care.
As long as the Uzi Kingdom was swallowed, all of this attrition was inconsequential.
Soon after, the third apostle, Shane, also died on the frontline.
The Glass God remained in stable control of the situation, as long as he continued to swallow and persuade the Wuzhi people, the Wuzhi King’s godly body would continue to be weakened, and the two would be mutually exclusive.
The only threat to Him was this God of the Gods.
What the god of glass didn’t expect was that a transcendent creature called the [Bully Locusts] invaded the empire without a sound.
These disgusting bugs destroyed a large amount of food and farmland, causing the logistics of the frontline armies to quickly tighten, and the empire in the rear to fall into localised famine and chaos.
This was what the Bose God loathed about transcendent creatures.
They weren’t strong, but they would always cause some inexplicable problems.
According to Imperial Emperor Soter’s report, the source of the locusts came from the Uji Kingdom, and they were more like a local wild species. Because the Wuzhi Kingdom was barren, they were few in number, while the Empire’s abundance caused their numbers to skyrocket for a short period of time.
Locusts made Him feel sick.
But what really made the Glass God scornful was another species.
The Black Water Strider.
This bug was the [Whistle Blower]’s familiars.
The appearance of the Black Water Strider meant that the shadow of a Title Deity had appeared behind this divine battle.
A spectre, the spectre of a Title Deity, roamed the battlefield.
The Glass God became extremely anxious.
The presence of the Title Deity broke the balance and rules between the gods. However, King Uzi is not the Whistle Blower s subordinate god …… This makes the Bo God puzzled.
But the arrow had to be sent.
Giving up the Uzi Kingdom, that was never possible. The rise and fall of the god’s kingdom depended on this!
Bo Shen was determined to fight quickly.
At that moment, King Wu Ji finally couldn’t help himself and started to slaughter the imperial army with the might of the gods.
This scene was just what the god wanted.
The soldiers died in a frenzy of sacrifice, turning into hot flames of faith, which made the God of Bo feel immensely relieved.
King Uzi’s divine body was just as weak as expected, it looked like a mountain, but was actually a piece of paper.
Just today!
The Glass God also emerged from concealment and dragged King Uzi into a battle of life and death.
He has confirmed from the subservient Uzi people that King Uzi’s miracle is to explode and dissolve.
In combat, He could cause an explosion by adhering dirt to the target.
As for dissolution, it was an ability that King Uzi used to precipitate the element of Woo in order to breed the Uzi people, and it could not be used in combat.
Furthermore King Uzi had no hidden wonders.
The life of His divine body kept falling, powerless against the miracles and attacks of the Bo God, and his body kept experiencing localised elemental confusion and paralysis.
Just as the Glass God continued to expand his advantage, an odd God-descendant giant sprang out of nowhere. This guy’s level was as high as LV99, showing a terrifying battle power comparable to that of the gods.
This, on the contrary, made the Bo God feel relieved in his heart.
So this was King Uzi’s backhand, a hidden powerful apostle.
To be able to raise an apostle comparable to the Gods with such a scarce population, it was thought that it had taken all of His savings and strength. A visible threat was not a threat.
The Glass God didn’t care.
An apostle was an apostle after all, and while there seemed to be only a thin line between them and the gods, they were actually worlds apart.
While fending off the apostle’s attacks, the Bo God continued to perform miracles and various abilities, continuously draining the life value of King Uzi’s divine body.
It didn’t take long for the apostle to disappear.
The Bo God immediately realised that it wasn’t really an apostle, but some kind of powerful spell or prop generator, no wonder this apostle didn’t have a single special ability.
Just when His heart was relieved, the God-descendant Giant disappeared and returned.
The Glass God was immediately a bit confused.
What was going on here?
A spell that could be used without any restrictions? Or some kind of rare miracle with an extremely high rank?
His heart was on fire for a while plus.
This fellow, King Wu Ji, is hiding something good ah …… must take it down!
As long as he could quickly kill him, he might be able to burst out relevant props from his divine body!
The Glass God frantically attacked, completely disregarding the God-descendant giant, only wanting to kill King Wu Ji in the fastest time possible.
His divine body was extremely strong, and he was also able to carry the giant’s attack.
With a helper, King Uzi, however, kept dodging in a sorry state, trying to minimise attrition, which caused the entire battle to fall into a constant scorch.
The God of Glass suddenly sensed that another Apostle’s Flame of Faith had disappeared.
It was Sothe.
Dead is dead, right?
The Bo God cast the Flame of Faith in a frenzy, no longer holding back.
As long as he finished off King Uzi and obtained this divine body and this divine kingdom, everything was worth it, everything was worth it!
A moment later the Glass God suddenly felt a wave of weakness.
He violently realised that his Flame of Faith had suddenly weakened.
The power of faith was reduced by a full 20,000 all of a sudden!
What’s going on, what’s going on here?
He could sense that although Crystal City had been invaded by locusts, the flame totems on the walls were still in effect and the two wonders were functioning perfectly.
But the Flame of Faith in the Divine Palace had just become less.
He froze for a split second.
The Flame of Faith was becoming weaker still further.
Faith had decreased by another 3000.
Not only that, this time even the strategic prop [Elemental Casting Furnace] had disappeared.
Shock and fear enveloped the divine body of the Glass God, causing Him to tremble with anger.
A thought flashed through His mind.
That ghost.
That spectre that carried the will of the [Whistle Blower], it showed up!
The greatness of the titled gods was hard to resist.
The God of Glass immediately prayed at the Hall of Gods, requesting to obtain the assistance of the [Fearless One] and emphasising that it was the Title Deity coming to attack.
The Fearless One’s response to Him was.
“The nearest gods to you will need about a hundred years to push the Divine Kingdom past, hold out for a hundred years and you’ll have a chance.”
He did not give the assistance of the Flame of Faith.
Although the Glass God thought that this would mostly be the case, he still felt anger and resentment.
Powerful gods possessed numerous resources and assistance, but the vast majority of the gods received nothing, and even needed to pay a portion of their faith to obtain the shelter and population of the title god. One had to rely on oneself to drift and survive one danger after another in order to find the opportunities within the cracks.
Life is weakening as time passes, with less than a twentieth of what it used to be.
Faith is also down to one-fifth of what it was when the war began.
The god-descendant giants disappeared and reappeared, tirelessly tussling with themselves.
King Uzi, on the other hand, was using miracles from time to time in order to curb the movement of the Glass God’s divine body so that He could not break away from the battle.
The enemy’s advantage had completely reversed.
The Bo God was near frantic in his attempts to kill King Uzi. However, King Uzi, no matter how badly injured he was, still tenaciously hid behind the Divine Descent Giant, desperately trying to survive.
Time passed by minute by minute.
The Glass God sensed that the Flame of Faith in the Divine Palace had completely dried up.
Gods that were not fuelled by the Flame of Faith were nothing more than powerful monsters that could be brought down.
He had never thought that He would be defeated in such a way.
Seeing that seemingly immortal God-descendant giant, and the tall and despicable King Uzi hiding behind it, the Glass God felt a deep sense of absurdity.
He raised His head and looked angrily into the sky.
Ghosts, the ghosts of the titled gods roamed this world.
The Whistle Blower must be looking down on himself.
No matter how desperately one bounced around, the gulf between the gods could not be crossed, and the weak were not even qualified to see the strong.
Weariness after years of campaigning surged to the surface, accompanied by extreme disgust and rebellion.
The Glass God glared hard at the sky, snarling under his breath, ”Does teasing a God of the Gods amuse you? Noble whistling great man!”
“Why does your whistle not blow?”
“Or do you think that I’m simply not qualified to hear the whistle!”
A maniacal and exuberant smile appeared on His face, “You are marvellous, you are exalted, please watch ……”
“Although I die today, I will always be their god!”
The Glass God opened his arms and his body became transparent and crystalline, flashing with colourful light.
In that instant, all the Glass God believers in both worlds – whether they were soldiers charging and killing on the front line, or civilians standing on the streets at the back, their bodies condensed into transparent crystals, and a humanoid glass fell to the ground, shattering into countless remnants ……
The glass god’s body exploded, turning into dust and dissipating without a trace.
