Lu Yao stopped his viewpoint over Saniro City.
The infrastructure of this ghost city had reached the level of the feudal era: the floors were paved with stone slabs, the various houses were built with a mixture of wood and stone, there were drainage ditches and flower beds along the edges of the ground, and even street trees were planted.
The inhabitants of Saniro are ghosts, and unlike normal pixelated figurines, they have translucent bodies, like enlarged versions of the grey figurines on top of the heads of the barbarian tribes. Ghost inhabitants had another feature, they had level markings on their heads.
The vast majority of ghost inhabitants were between LV1-LV5.
The soldiers, on the other hand, were all ranging from LV5-LV10. These ghost villains were dressed in lockjaw armour, copper helmets on their heads, and spears in their hands, very different from the dress of ordinary citizens, and were truly professional soldiers.
The leader of the soldiers was a [Commander] named Yaris. His rank was as high as LV12, and he wore a silver half-body armour and wielded a shield and a one-handed sword.
All ghosts had one ability: [Evasion].
……
[Evasion].
The ability to circumvent the damage caused by some attacks. The probability of this is higher when compared to one’s weaker beings.
……
Sandworms also have this ability.
This ability is a crush for normal people.
Pixel villain ghosts had level markings on their heads that represented their level beyond ordinary people. In other words, every ghost had the intensity of a hero or a monster.
A city of tens of thousands of ghosts was a nightmare level power to the surrounding tribal civilisations.
However, who told dude to have an apostle?
Lu Yao looked towards Isabel, who was being flanked by Mayor Chapman and Commander Yaris.
Piercing through Saniro City’s defence system by herself, this was Isabelle’s charm.
Mayor Chapman poured out bitter words.
“Due to the existence of the god’s totem, the fire of faith from other gods can’t be ignited here.”
“Also because of the totem’s influence, Saniro’s ghosts can’t leave, and foreign ghosts can’t come in; instead, some monsters are able to come here to destroy and kill.”
“The sandworms in the desert sometimes make an impact on the city, and every time we fend them off it’s very hard.”
“There are also sea monsters in the sea, and sometimes they attack the harbour.”
“The ghosts in the city have been dwindling over the years, and if it continues like this, Saniro City will eventually come to an end.”
Commander Yaris chimed in, “The city’s soldiers are constantly depleting, and today there are only 58 soldiers. The defence force continues to weaken, and although I’ve been training ordinary citizens to become soldiers, it’s not very effective.”
“……”
Isabel was silent for a moment, “That is to say, the key to Saniro’s curse is the divine totem. As soon as the totem is no more, the city is no longer bound in terms of faith and population.”
“You are correct.”
Mayor Chapman immediately pleaded, “But human power can’t destroy the Divine Totem, that’s the imprint left by the gods, even if the statue carrier is destroyed, the imprint still remains.”
“Only the gods can fight the gods.”
“Saniro has always hoped that a god would come to free our city. We are willing to offer the faith of all of us as we have served the forest gods in the past, and to extol the well-being and name of the god to wherever we have been.”
Isabel looked to the front of the screen and dropped to one knee.
A dialogue box that only Lu Yao could see emerged above her head.
“My lord, would you like to accept the dead souls of Saniro?”
–Ghosts can provide faith?
“Can.”
Isabelle said, “Everything in this world, as long as it possesses a spirit or an intelligent being, possesses the power of faith.”
Then what’s there to say?
I’ll take the entire city all together!
Lu Yao aimed his sight towards the square of Saniro City.
The square was the centre of the city where all the streets converged. The circular square was arched by buildings similar to the city hall and watchtower, and in the centre of the square stood a blue sculpture.
Lu Yao took a closer look.
Yo, isn’t this the old familiar Praying God Totem?
Anyway, he had already thunderbolted one in the East River Tribe, so there was no psychological burden to demolish this second one.
Lu Yao clicked out the lightning in [Miracle] and started to take a shot at the totem.
The lightning fell from the sky and approached the city but disappeared without a trace.
[Because of the Divine Totem Blessing, your Miracle cannot take effect.]
The totem’s defence didn’t surprise Lu Yao, what surprised him was that after splitting ten rounds of [Lightning] this time, the totem actually only showed some cracks and was still standing.
He realised that totems might also have levels.
The totems here were much sturdier than those of the Donghe Tribe.
Lu Yao glanced at the upper right corner.
Population: 401 Faith: 522
Faith Ammo was still available.
Next to her, Isabelle watched, and the ghosts of Saniro City also watched, the face of this god of his own was still important. On a larger scale, it was about the majesty of the future, as well as the firmness or otherwise of the ghosts’ faith.
Since we’ve come to this point, we must strive to take it down in one go.
Lu Yao tapped [Lightning] furiously.
Only then did he realise that a number had appeared behind the lightning bolt.
It turned out that it was possible to select the amount – or strength – of [Lightning] at once.
Lu Yao directly pulled it full.
[Lightning] x 25!
He locked the selected range over the totem and clicked the mouse.
The air of the pixel world lit up with a cloud of constantly flickering blue arcs of light, which gathered in the air to form a pillar of lightning that blasted down on the Praying God Totem head on!
This time it was smooth. The totem was instantly electrocuted into flying dust, and a large charred black area was added to the sculpture’s location.
As the totem was shattered, the residents of the entire Saniro City cheered.
“The curse is removed!”
“Long live God Yao!”
“We have a new god!”
“Saniro is free!”
“Praise God Yao! Great God Yao!”
……
Mayor Chapman also had a smiley symbol on his head.
He stated to Isabel, “On behalf of all the citizens of Saniro, I sincerely thank the gods for their mercy and forgiveness, and we in Saniro will henceforth believe in the Yao God and offer our faith and loyalty.”
Commander Yaris also knelt on one knee, “Loyalty to the Yao God!”
The soldiers behind him also followed his example and knelt down to show their allegiance.
“Loyalty to the Yao God!”
“Loyalty to the Yao God!”
Lu Yao’s eyes were staring at the upper right corner of the game interface at this time.
Faith didn’t move at all, remaining at 22 points.
He muttered in his heart.
This can’t be it? Have I been tricked?
Just as he was feeling apprehensive, the Faith value suddenly spiked instantly!
Faith jumped directly from 22 points to 10,754 points!
Lu Yao couldn’t help but swing his fist hard!
Becoming a brother!
This was the fast-paced gameplay of God Simulator. Looking around for groups with large populations, not caring if they were human or not, but always having faith could be incorporated, this was called expanding the audience and external demand.
After slowing down a little from the joy of getting rich overnight, Lu Yao noticed that the population next to Faith had also spiked.
Population: 11, 133 Faith: 10, 754
Ghosts did indeed have faith as well, and they were surprisingly part of the Believer population.
Lu Yao moved his mouse over the population column.
For the first time, a detailed list surfaced below.
Ghosts occupied the vast majority of the population share, and the living had instead become a minority.
However, the next problem also came.
What to do with Saniro?
Mayor Chapman made a request to Isabel, “Lord Apostle, the inhabitants of Saniro are all ghosts, and ordinary people cannot see ghosts. Ghosts can only be seen by ghosts, or other special extraordinary beings.”
“Normal urban development may no longer be suitable for Saniro.”
“But ghosts have their benefits.”
“We don’t need food, don’t need to rest, and have long lives. The greater the number of ghosts in Sanilo, the more powerful all of them will be. …… Individual ghosts of higher orders can also be born.”
“There are often accidents on the ocean, so there are many dead souls. We want to go and access them to Saniro so that we can not only develop more believers for the Lord God, but also further expand the size of the city.”
This proposal was strongly affirmed and praised by Lu Yao.
This Mayor called Chapman was something.
In the Pixel World, population was the first productive force!
Lu Yao gave his own suggestion through Isabelle.
-Suggests searching in the desert, there should be quite a few ghosts there as well. There are also undead spirits all the way north along the desert, around the Garlic Tribe and in the forest.
Mayor Chapman saw that his opinion was affirmed, and a smiley face symbol appeared above his head, “Alright, alright, we’ll send soldiers over to meet these ghosts later.”
Inside Lu Yao’s head, he had a plan for the future development of the ghost city Saniro.
As the saying goes, old people do things the old way, new people do things the new way.
The ghosts of those who died in the Garlic Tribe and surrounding tribes entered Saniro and continued to shine and contribute their faith, building the world in another way after death.
The ghosts are also powerful or not in direct correlation to the number of groups, it’s a win-win.
Perfect.
