The Ghost World.
Nongbase was at the intersection of the two divine kingdoms, and was also the area where the Gravel World merged into the two worlds, and this place was now called the [Pillar of the Mountain] by the local inhabitants.
It is said that the fall of the Pillar of Heavenly Tilt caused the fusion of the two divine kingdoms to occur. This place is between the cloudy Ghost World and the bright and sunny Bamboo Reed Kingdom, and to this day, not an inch of grass grows here, and it is the residence of the two gigantic divine beasts.
The one who guards the two divine beasts is that madman from the past, the hero who kept running for peace on the battlefield, Saltcue the Sandwalker.
He led the divine beasts, healed the cracks in the earth, took away the continuous torrential rain, and finally returned to Pillar Mountain to return to a peaceful life with the divine beasts.
Both the Ghost and the Bamboo People know that Sandwalker is a foreigner from the sky.
The Funeral Clan and the Ashumin would occasionally come over to visit Saltwalker. In addition to possessing strength comparable to that of an apostle, Sandwalker also possessed wisdom far beyond that of the masses.
The Funeral Clan seeks advice on how to plan graveyards and build roads and public facilities.
The Luminaries sought the skills and experience of cultivation to produce better food and livestock.
The Sandwalker did not hold back and taught them all.
Today everyone knows that Sandwalker comes from a powerful and secretive group, the group called the Yao Clan, at the end of the cluster of stars above the dome.
Behind the Yao Clan was an unimaginable deity.
His existence caused black suns to fall and fierce dragon kings to bow down.
He is the finisher of the wars of the gods, the sword bearer of the age of peace, and the places he passes through have given birth to countless heroes and legends …… Many of the old gods have been turned into artefacts and memorabilia in the Yao Clan s museum.
Sand Walker was devout and loyal to the Yao God, and he also respected the gods and beliefs of the two divine kingdoms.
He said, “Lord Yao God accommodates believers and unbelievers, which is supposed to be part of the rules of the world, and the civilisations of the tribes are rich and diverse as a result.”
“Just as the sun does not need to be watched, its light always pours over the earth.”
One day on Mount Pillar, a strange young man appeared beside Saltcue the Sandwalker. He and Shiohisa talked warmly as if they were old friends meeting.
Just as the crowd was puzzled, they suddenly got into a fight. The newcomer was much like Saltcue in that they were both able to transform into yellow sand and come and go without a trace, and the two sides went back and forth as a cloud of swiftly clashing sand shadows.
The young man was knocked down by Saltcue in the blink of an eye.
He quickly rose to his feet and continued to chat enthusiastically with Saltcue, as if the previous battle was nothing more than a greeting ritual.
Apostles from both divine realms arrived quickly.
The Psi-Ghost Realm came with Apostle Buro, and the Bamboo Reed Kingdom sent Takeo, and both visited the visitor together.
The other introduced himself, “My name is Nong Bui, Yao Clan, and I am a Sandwalker.”
The two apostles exchanged glances and thought to themselves.
“So you’re from the same clan as Mr Saltcue?”Takeo said.
“I can’t be compared to Master Shiohisa, I’m just an ordinary Martial Cultivator.”
The young man was sincere in his words.
Bu Luo took the opportunity to say, “So, did Lord Yao Shen send you here?”
“Uh …… no.”
Nongbei said, “I chose to come over.”
Buluo was puzzled, “Why?”
Saltcue also looked puzzled.
He wanted the chance to go back, but Nongbase was coming across the border.
“Because in the Yao Clan, martial cultivators …… like me have been almost eliminated.”
Nong Base had a bitter look on his face when he talked about this.
Buluo and Bamboo Man were completely unconvinced.
Nong Base was weaker than Salt Long, but it was only second to the Apostle class, and there were almost no natural enemies down the line.
Compared to that, Saltcue’s ascension blunder was all sort of justified.
“Martial practitioners are in decline?”
Saltcue also showed a strange expression on his face, “What the hell is going on? The monster groups are unprecedentedly strong?”
“No, Master Shiohisa, it’s the armour-bearers.”
There was a bit of bitterness in Nongbase’s voice, “Before you disappeared, the Armour Deacons and the Martial Cultivators were sort of separated, they were a bit more numerous, and we were stronger on our own.”
“But with the Omnipotent Stone Mine being exploited in large quantities, refined equipment has skyrocketed, the Twin Cities Armour has been further upgraded with the Hardened Sword and Hundred Fold Shield, and there’s also Lord Fellows who has crafted the Fire Vapour Furnace ……”
Saltjou’s face grew stony.
The two Apostles beside him, although they couldn’t understand many of the proper nouns. But they also gradually felt that this new Sandwalker wasn’t being self-effacing.
“…… an ordinary Armour Bearer, it’s hard for me to win.”
Bamboo Man couldn’t help but ask, “You can’t win?”
“It’s not simply a matter of winning or not.”
Nongbei corrected, “It’s that times have changed. Martial cultivators’ abilities and fists were full of power in the past. But in the new era, the fastest means to knock out an opponent is the Black Rose.”
He compared a finger and pointed at Takeo, “When the Black Rose blooms, the person targeted will have his heart shattered. In the face of such destructive power, many abilities of the past become meaningless.”
“Snap, and the Martial Cultivator is dead.”
Takeo was unable to comprehend this, so much so that his eyes became confused.
Nongbase forced out a smile, “As much as it’s hard to admit it, in the Fire Vapour Era, the Armour Bearers were indeed much stronger than the Martial Cultivators. This is the epoch that belongs to them, and the martial cultivators have yet to open up a subsequent way out.”
“I was lucky enough to fight another Martial Cultivator to a draw, and got the reward from the Cloud Temple’s Martial Dao Conference, so I had the chance to ascend.”
“I came here because I feel like I can’t keep up with the times anymore, and I hope to find some opportunities to hone myself in other worlds.”
Nongbei said bluntly, “Even if I go back, I don’t know what I can do. There’s probably no better path other than becoming an Armour Bearer.”
“Over here, I can at least maintain the path of a Martial Cultivator and a ray of hope.”
“I didn’t realise that Master Saltjou turned out to still be over here, and there are still living Calamity Beasts here, that’s great! The Calamity Beasts over there have all been killed by the Armour Bearers …… This place is really full of challenges!”
The two Apostles, Buluo and Takeo, were silenced by his words.
Nongbase’s reply was polite and decent.
But his meaning was clear.
He was unable to hang around in the Yao Clan anymore, and with great difficulty, he found an opportunity to ascend to this side. In the Yao Clan, Nong Base had a hard time suppressing even ordinary Armour Bearers, but over here, he was one of the strongest.
Next, Nongbase continued to talk warmly with Yanjiu about all the changes in the city over there after he disappeared: the Omnipotent Stone Wellspring of Uda City, the multicoloured and seven-coloured Crystal City, the lush and brightly coloured roses of all kinds, the huge mines with lime all over the place, and the city’s fire steam furnace that hummed incessantly ……
Apostle Blo and Bamboo Man walked aside to a secluded spot.
At this time, both of their eyes emitted white light emanations, and their complexion was already very different from before. The gods had already taken over the Apostle’s shell.
“You can already prove it now, right? This is an opportunity.”
Buluo said, “As I said before, Yao God sent a believer to ascend over to represent the attitude of the expedition. The attitude of the Lord God has far-reaching significance, and He would never waste time in the Creeping Zone.”
“I’ve never dismissed this speculation of yours, I just don’t understand what the Yao God is trying to do.”
Takeo took over, “Sending believers into the Vortex World to cultivate, and then sending them to our God’s Kingdom …… is incomprehensible.”
“Snort, if it’s the Gods, it’s certainly bizarre to do so.”
Buluo continued to speak, “But didn’t Saltjou say so? That Yao God isn’t a Lord God who is keen on numbers and scale, He seems to be more concerned about the development of civilisation and individual potential of the Divine Kingdom.”
“It looks like He should all belong to the category with a special style amongst the Lord Gods.”
“It’s the fusion attempt.”
“Eh?”
Bamboo Man further explained, “Fusion attempts are a means of the Title Gods. By dropping a Transcendent into some special worlds and letting them continue to grow in them, with different environments and world rules, there is a certain chance that they will be able to evolve special abilities.”
“Sandwalkers are a backward group to Yao Gods, but if they are dropped into other worlds, they might be able to produce a new evolution.”
Bamboo Man concluded, “As far as He is concerned, it is also considered a waste use.”
“I see, learned.”
Bu Luo was a little excited, “Sounds like there are subsequent Sandwalkers being dropped over? The appearance of this group is rather a major benefit for us.”
“Not bad.”
Bamboo Man also revealed a smile, “Not only are they excellent Transcendents, they also carry the technology and culture of the Yao civilisation, which can accelerate the growth of your divine Kingdom and mine.”
Some of the crumbs shaken off from the mouth of the giant whale of the deep sea were tasty delicacies for other small fishes and shrimps to swoon over.
Buro added, “I don’t understand why the Vortex World was chosen?”
“It should just be a coincidence.”
Takeo surmised, “The real place of placement was the Vortex World Cloud Temple. But since your Psi-Ghost World blundered into this circular realm cluster, that’s why that Lord God made an attempt, and so far it looks as if He’ll continue to try.”
“Makes sense.”
Buluo didn’t move.
He wouldn’t admit that everything was his own carefully premeditated balking …… Currently it seemed that not only had he hitched a ride on a big ship, the captain was a behemoth that was big enough to straddle the Creeping Zone.
His heart burst with smugness.
“How about a strategic alliance?”Bamboo Man proposed.
“It’s already hard to tell our divine kingdoms apart from each other. And as I see it, you don’t want to engage in another divine war, and with the Vortex World under the control of the Lord God, it’s likely that new Transcendents will appear here in the future, like the Sandwalkers and Calamity Beasts.”
Bamboo Man said, “The gains that this brings are much more stable and safer than a divine war. With the Lord God around, this is the safest place.”
“Heroes see things the same way.”Buro also stated, “From now on, the Psi-Ghost Realm will join the Bamboo Reed Kingdom in dealing with all kinds of disasters and external challenges.”
Takeo nodded, “An alliance is in both of our interests.”
“However, can those Sandwalkers and Calamity Beasts, as well as the fruits of the Yao Race’s civilisation be used for us ……”
“Each according to their abilities?”
“To each his own.”
Both revealed confident smiles.
……
Lu Yao took it all in.
It was just as Slimer had said, to the class of Lord God or Title Deity, both the Psi-Ghost God and the Bamboo Reed King showed reverence and obedience, taking the initiative to co-operate with the actions of the higher-ranked gods.
Slemod was understanding of the gods.
In this regard, the Divine Kingdom Adhesion Body turned into a re-employment centre for the Yao Clan.
Niche groups such as martial cultivators, who were temporarily at odds with the mainstream of the era, could partly be sent here to be able to maximise their power and find a new direction.
By the next era or epoch, they might not necessarily not have the opportunity to return to the centre stage.
