The Simulator Chapter 32

Isabel got out of the car without immediately moving her feet.
Her eyes gazed in the direction of the lamp post.

Following her perspective, Lu Yao looked towards the top of the streetlight, where a sparrow rested on the lampshade.
It was 3:30 in the afternoon, and there were a few strange things about the streetlights in the alley actually being lit up.
“My lord, Demon Apostle found.”
Isabelle’s eyes firmly locked onto the sparrow, “In order to avoid exposing your position, I must detour a bit.”

Lu Yao’s heart tightened as he listened.
Apostle?
It couldn’t be that Praying God coming, right?
Isabelle was alert like never before, staring at the sparrow that was resting on the street lamp.
“Retreat.”
Lu Yao immediately ordered, “Safety first.”
“My lord, the other party is already here.”
Isabel’s words had only fallen when a silhouette appeared at the entrance of the alley.

The visitor had short silver-grey hair, wearing a blue and white JK outfit with long sleeves and short skirt, a pair of brown leather shoes under her black stockings, and a small white bag over one shoulder.
She appeared to be less than twenty years old and had a pair of peach blossom eyes that were hydrated and soulful. The young girl’s lips were pursed like a kitten’s, appearing a little serious, but still unable to hide the energy and vitality unique to this age.
As soon as the young girl appeared, the sparrow in the air lifted its wings and flew down, landing on her shoulder.
“First time meeting.”

The young girl looked towards Isabel, “Hello, I am the prosecutor of the Special Prosecution Committee, Song Shiyi.”
Her voice was light and her tone rose.
At the same time, a ring of light emerged behind Song Shiyi, like a star ring surrounding her, as if a miniature universe of twinkling stars was hidden inside.
In the star ring behind her, a faceted silver shield emerged, with a bonfire that was burning on its surface.
These wonders were only displayed for a moment, and then disappeared without a trace.

“If you could stay for a while to make a statement and a deposition …… The committee would greatly appreciate your cooperation and help.”
Song Shiyi looked behind Isabel, her eyes locked on the vehicle that had been involved in the accident.
“It looks like you’ve already taken care of the prisoner I was chasing.”
Isabel was silent.
At the far end, Lu Yao’s mind worked quickly and said, “Promise her to see what’s going on with this committee.”
Seeing that Isabel didn’t refuse, Song Shiyi said thank you as she opened her carry-on bag and fished out her mobile phone to turn on the recording mode.
“Work rules, recording.”
“May I ask how to address you?”
“Mary.”

“Hmm. Miss Mary, that member of the Eastern Sea Clan who was smuggled over from the Lower Realm Dimension, named ‘Yu Yao’, had murdered two innocent ordinary people before this. She is also a felon that the committee has been catching everywhere lately, and she recently roamed into this area. Please tell us about your encounter with her ……”
“What about Prayer God? Has he, the mastermind behind this, been caught?” Isabel asked rhetorically.
These were her repeating Lu Yao’s words.
“Prayer God?”

Song Shiyi had a few moments of surprise on her face, “He was already arrested two years ago, you guys don’t seem to have paid much attention to the announcement.”
She explained slightly.
“Prayer God has been sentenced to 180 years in prison for his involvement in multiple major crimes. Without a miracle, he will be living in a prison cell for a long time.”
Lu Yao thought to himself, “This is good news.
Less risk of a real life PK.
In the Pixel World, one had already destroyed two totems of the Praying God. At the moment, it looked like it would more than likely continue this operation if encountered again.
Lu Yao said through Isabelle, “Since the God of Prayer has been arrested, what about Yu Yao?”
“I will explain further to you later. But before that, I need to ask about some scene details.”
Song Shiyi asked carefully about Yu Yao.
Isabel said that she didn’t know anything about it, and that she had only captured Yu Yao’s identity as a low realm dimension individual and noticed that she was behaving somewhat abnormally, so she stopped her to ask about it. As a result, the other party was a thief and tried to sneak attack instead, and was killed by herself.
“I see.”

Song Shiyi blinked as she listened, this seemed to be some sort of action fetish of hers.
Lu Yao felt that Song Shiyi blinking was a bit like someone he remembered …… and the more he looked at it, the more similar it was. Just that name is on his lips, he just can not call out.
The questioning process was almost over, and only then did Song Shiyi press the stop button on her mobile phone.
“Thanks for cooperating.”
She put the phone back into her satchel, “The next part belongs to personal dialogue. This Miss Apostle, the ‘Jack’ in the neighbourhood was caught by you last time, right?”
Isabel did not respond.
Instead, it was the remote Lu Yao who was shocked in his heart.

“No need to be nervous, this is purely a personal sphere of communication.”
“Miss Mary, please allow me to introduce myself once more.”
Song Shiyi pointed at herself and said, “Although I’m a prosecutor for the committee, many people are willing to keep in touch with me because I suffer from mental illness.”
“Have you ever heard of paraphilic amnesia? It’s a little more serious than that.”
“Simply put, it means that I can only keep my memories for a short period of time. However, things in terms of skills, knowledge, and experience are retained in my head, but the memories are automatically destroyed within twenty-four hours. All the memories in my head can only be retained until I’m fourteen years old.”

“Other than that, I can also choose to erase the memories myself. In other words, memories are something that I can self-erasure, but can’t retain.”
“That’s good for my work. Don’t have to remember too much, don’t have too much to worry about, and everyone is willing to co-operate with me because I don’t get into their privacy.”
“The committee did suggest to me that I wear something like a recorder, but I declined. That would give me no advantage instead.”
“And it’s such a huge burden to have to remember so much every time I wake up, it’s easier when every day is a new beginning.”
She touched the sparrow on her shoulder, “This is Ming-chan, his ability is identification, and he’s a connoisseur in this area.”
“That’s why I was able to tell who you were at a glance.”

“Of course, you will know what I’m talking about if you ask around a little.”
“Here’s my card, if you need any help, or can give me some leads, call this number.”
She fished a white business card out of her bag and politely handed it over with both hands.
“Looking forward to your call, Miss Mary.”
Lu Yao listened.
Song Shiyi recounted her situation, setting out her identity and personal traits, and was throwing out an olive branch, hoping that Isabelle could become her potential informant.
Isabelle politely accepted the business card as well.
“Then, it’s time for me to go back and resume my duties. Give my regards to that friend you follow.”

Song Shiyi fished out a plastic locket from her bag and pinched a capsule out of it, gesturing to the other party, “Like I said, the memories can fade away early when there’s a need for them.”
She swallowed the capsule and fished out another bottle of mineral water and took a sip.
A few moments later, Song Shiyi’s eyes became a little dull, as if she had only just woken up from a nap. She looked at her skirt and stockings, revealing a puzzled expression.

“Why am I not at home?”
“Hey, what happened again?”
“I remembered I was going on location today, is this the place ……”
She fumbled with her phone and started rummaging through the records.
The sparrow on her shoulder seemed to be used to this, just combing its wing feathers with its beak.
Isabelle passed by Song Shiyi, and the other party did not react at all.
At this time, Lu Yao finally remembered.
Song Lingyun, a member of the teen idol girl group SUH!
She was Song Lingyun!
Lu Yao had an impression of Song Lingyun because he had two friends in college who were very fond of her, thinking that she was energetic and cute, sometimes a little bit confused, and occasionally, she would suddenly become smart and sharp like a small universe exploding. Those two were husband and father fans.

He hurriedly searched the internet.
That kitten’s mouth and wink couldn’t be said to be very similar, only exactly the same.
Song Lingyun was Song Shiyi.
The teen idol turned out to be a special agency prosecutor …… This plot reminded him of some weird special films.
Continuing to look in the internet, Lu Yao found out that Song Lingyun suddenly quit the troupe 3 years ago due to ill health. Then she completely disappeared, and the internet legend said that she had gone abroad to treat her illness.
Lu Yao frowned.
Then the question came up.

Was it the teenage prosecutor who mixed into the girl group to investigate the case?
Or is it that the girl group can’t save the world, so I’m going to become a prosecutor?
