Moment in Calculation.
For the vast majority of the gods, the Kingdom of God is a co-ordinate for being in the virtual zeus, a soil for nurturing beliefs and populations, and an external shell for the rules to complete the closing of the loop.
But in the eyes of Moment, the Kingdom of God was an instrument used for calculation.
Those different forms of life on the surface of the world were the local results of the world’s constant arithmetic, and the continuous backward projection of the evolution of each kind of life could be traced back to the huge algorithm of the world’s evolution.
Every world is a suave and unpredictable black box.
Life is the external equipment of the black box, and the rules are the deep systems within the black box.
The algorithms and evolution of the rules allow all kinds of life to show non-periodic birth and destruction, and the continuous evolution of life will feed back to the entire world environment, thus changing the course of the rules.
Just like the original aphorism in the distant memory: everything is arithmetic, arithmetic is everything.
What little remains of Moment’s memory of home is a necessary castration of the ego by the sleeve, storing the most algorithmic information in the least number of vectors possible.
Algorithms are the key to touching everything.
All Sleeve knew was that he had come from a destroyed moment state civilisation, and to avoid a self-destructive end, Sleeve had descended into exile to the world of Void Zeus in the simulator.
Everything about the moment state civilisation is described in the number 42. As to whether there are any other survivors of the moment state civilisation, Ik doesn’t know.
If there was enough arithmetic power to construct a corresponding algorithm, it would be possible to decode the vast information of the moment state civilisation through this number and the moment itself.
To do this was not something that could be done overnight.
Moment formulated a 100,000-year plan for the Crawl Zone.
In the first ten thousand years, the infrastructure of the Divine Foreign Facility would be done, sufficient faith energy and arithmetic units would be stockpiled, and a series of usable algorithms would be identified in preparation for future large-scale computing.
In the second ten thousand years, the Moment would officially push the Divine Kingdom to carry out primary arithmetic. Using the world as an algorithm to work backwards through the layers of rules, so as to find the underlying rules in the black box of this God’s Kingdom and gradually crack them.
In the third ten thousand years, Sleeve’s goal was to basically decipher the main rules of his own God’s Kingdom, thus achieving an extremely high degree of control. On this basis, Sleeve would gradually touch other worlds and crack the black boxes of other worlds to achieve an accelerated accumulation of arithmetic power and resources.
In the fourth 10,000 years, the fully prepared God’s Kingdom will set sail, breaking through the slow and restricted crawling zone and entering the unlocked leaping zone, where the expansion and renewal of the God’s Kingdom will be completed.
In the fifth to tenth million years, the ongoing large-scale algorithms are officially opened, and that is the time to decipher and find the momentary civilisation.
Plans always face change.
Moment encountered an accident in the first millennium.
Strong rule turbulence sent the divine kingdom bumping along into a dangerous area littered with gravel worlds, where there was a masterless divine kingdom at its centre.
This place, called [Casting Sun Bay], had no surviving godkind and tens of thousands of people remaining.
Moment manipulated the world, overlapping and bordering it.
After a meticulous field investigation, Sleeve confirmed that the deity here, [Firefly God], had fallen, and gradually fused it with his divine kingdom.
Casting Sun Bay was a world that had been repeatedly remodelled, and it was cut into three layers of space by the God of Glow.
The first layer was the [Misty Harbour] at the top, which housed a group of lampmakers called the Lamp Clan.
They are made of a combination of metal, red carbon, crystals, leather, and a series of parts, the core of which is the carbon body inside this is also the crest and brain of the Lamp Clan.
Misty Harbour is surrounded by black mist all year round and is infested with Mist Beasts who sometimes touch or even destroy the Lamplighters, making them extremely fearful.
The second layer was the [Carbon Capital] in the centre, which was where the Firefly God bred and transformed the Carbon Folk with special carbon ore.
The third layer is the bottom of the world, and the foundation of the entire conch-type world; this is where the Fluor God’s tool table is, and the wonders [World Pot] and [Nine Harvest Pillar] are at the two ends of the bottom.
Despite acquiring this god’s kingdom, Moment knows little about Castor Bay.
The Lamp Clan and the Carbon Folk lived in two isolated worlds, they were like pets or commodities cultivated by the Firefly God, and knew nothing else about the gods except worship and fear.
All of them did their jobs according to the requirements of the Firefly God, and even if the gods had fallen, they still followed their oracles and repeated the labour and order of the past.
Moment quietly observed everything in Casting Sun Bay.
It was one of the rules of the Vantage State civilisation not to change its algorithms at will as long as the civilisation’s procedures were still functioning.
Moment’s followers were a group of people called [Tricolour Bugs].
Just like its name, the Tricolour Worms were divided into three colours, red, yellow and green, representing three different physical characteristics, or genders. They were a more primitive kind of life, with extremely fast reproduction speeds and short life cycles.
Moment developed them as the main population of the Divine Kingdom civilisation because of the tricolour characteristics of this race.
Red bugs have a strong desire to reproduce and yearn for all three colours, they are always the one to initiate courtship and union.
The Yellow Bug has no natural need or instinct for reproduction, so it takes a refusal to initiate contact with the Red Bug.
The green worm is somewhere in between; it may accept the red worm, or it may assimilate and change colour with the yellow worm, only determining the final direction when it touches.
The biological properties of the tricolour worm are a natural algorithm found by Moment.
Sleeve cultivated the tricolour bugs in large numbers, expanding their numbers, and each tricolour bug was a base number in the algorithm. Tens of millions of tricolour worms were arranged in an orderly manner on the land of the divine Kingdom, constantly being trained and calculated by Moment.
On this basis, a portion of the tricolour worms evolved intelligence, and they gradually turned into a more advanced way, becoming the [unit worms] of the tricolour worms.
Unit bugs have intelligence and can lead their kind to form a basic unit.
From the initial development of the tricolour bugs to the present, Moment has maintained as many as 100,000 unit bugs.
While continuously refining the [Tricolour Bug Algorithm], Moment also conducted algorithmic tests using this method.
Ik used the tricolour bugs to calculate the landfall time of a typhoon, the change in temperature brought about by a volcanic eruption, and the data on the increase in water level brought about by heavy rainfall.
Although the results weren’t precise enough, they were controlled within the established margin of error.
What Moment was currently trying to do was to further increase the number of basic unit worms, and make the computing units diverse, composing a specific algorithm. Calling different algorithms for different deduction goals.
The biggest benefit of obtaining the [Casting Sun Bay] was to get more arithmetic bases.
The Lamp Clan, the Carbon Folk and even the Fog Beasts could potentially evolve into new base units or even new biological algorithms.
The black mist spewed out by the [World Pot] had the ability to disrupt the rules of the world, so that there would be a short delay in the operation of the rules. This ability helped Moment avoid the attacks of the Gods several times and was able to escape unharmed.
The [Nine Harvest Pillar] was a spatial coordinate that was just in a damaged state and temporarily unusable.
Moment further modified the new [Casting Sun Bay] to bring the tricolours to the surface of the conch-type world, distinguishing it from the three-tiered world.
The first 10,000 year plan was continuing.
However small probability events reappeared.
A huge and dangerous vortex world, with its many encircling gravel worlds, broke into the space.
Moment drove the Divine Kingdom to flee and opened the computing.
The tricolour bugs forcefully deduced the trajectory of the vortex world, and calculations of this scale consumed an enormous amount, causing millions of tricolour bugs to die from frequent touches.
Under the overload, the tricolour bugs calculated a basic conclusion: the trajectory of the Vortex World’s movement was 65.21% in sync with the Cast Sun Bay.
Danger.
Moment immediately accelerated the Divine Kingdom to flee the area.
However, the Vortex World followed behind like a shadow, pursuing at high speed.
This was something impossible in Moment’s perception.
The danger of the vortex world was that its rules were out of balance as well as radiated outward, and would constantly attract numerous gravel worlds, and the gravitational force of the rules would get a constant rise and increase.
Vortex worlds are uncontrollable, at least in the Creeping Zone.
However the facts break the established definitions.
Moment immediately makes a series of choices.
Detour, turn, use the many gravel worlds for cover.
Failure.
Decelerate, wait for the vortex worlds to approach, activate the [World Pot], and spew black mist.
Success.
Getting rid of the unknown natural disaster, Castor Bay escaped arriving at a relatively safe spatial realm.
But it wasn’t long before the Vortex World descended once again.
Moment checked the established beliefs and arithmetic.
Self: Tricolour Worm arithmetic overloaded, faith resources reduced to 30,000, can no longer use [World Pot].
Enemy: rules and volume are at a crushing level of superiority, with a clear pattern of action, carrying the divine kingdoms [Bamboo Reed Kingdom] and [Spectral Ghost Realm].
Escape success rate is less than 10%.
The enemy’s ability is beyond the range of simulatable models.
It is impossible to fight against it.
Your party’s remaining resources are insufficient to continue resistance.
Moment chooses to surrender.
Everything is arithmetic, and arithmetic is everything.
The only way to ensure continued computing is to continue.
Sleeve finds a sky lantern in the fog harbour and uses it to deliver the surrender to the border of the Vortex World.
Moment is still calculating.
As long as it is alive, the calculations cannot stop.
