The Simulator Chapter 36

Since the founding of the Garlic Tribe, the buildings that the pixelated little people have built have been used for survival functions.

The thatched huts of the past and the head houses of today’s wood are sheltered dwellings, and some of the larger houses are barns.

Some other enclosures with stone and wooden fences were places to keep camels and sheep.

There are also two forest huts in the forest, which are temporary camps for hunters to be able to go deeper into the forest to search for game.

A simple jetty, also used to moor canoe fishing boats.
Unlike past constructions, the monument has no applied significance, and it was the first culturally marked structure to appear in the tribe. With the monument in place, many of the small people would stop by, look at the records on the simple stone monument, and talk to each other about the past history of the tribe.

On the monument was a simple passage.
“Headhunter: one of the tribe’s two earliest heroes, fought valiantly against demonic believers and died fighting cave monsters in defence of the tribe”.

After the death of his closest comrade, the hero Fishing Walk often came here as well.
He stood in front of the monument without saying a word, thoughts floating in his head.
“If I had fought with him until the end, maybe he would have survived.”

“If we hadn’t attacked that group of cave monsters, and instead chose to avoid and retreat, Headhunter would still be telling me the story of the white boar now.”
“I was too weak. My brother, I couldn’t protect you and instead became a burden to you.”

“…… You’re the hero, I’m just a deserter.”
“We need more training, better weapons, and a bigger territory to defend the tribe.”
After experiencing the death of the headhunter, Fishwalker’s temperament changed drastically. He lost the loquaciousness and active excitement he used to have and became silent.

More often than not, he was teaching the hunters fighting skills. How to pull, how to avoid, how to retreat.
Experiencing death first hand made Fishing Walk extraordinarily stable from then on.

Under his leadership, the hunters moved further towards the direction of professional soldiers. They would never make unnecessary risks or attacks, and they must patiently observe each other before fighting, which had also turned into the Garlic Tribe’s fighting style.

Lu Yao overlooked all this and suddenly thought that there was something that the Garlic Tribe should use now.
He put on his shoes and unlocked the door before going downstairs.
Ten minutes later, Lu Yao returned with an extra hammer in his hand.
This was the next piece of [Enchantment] he decided on.

The Garlic Tribe had already learnt [Mining] and discovered minerals such as copper, iron, gold, and crystals, but smelting had never been mastered, and only used the most rudimentary burning of natural minerals. The metals that were burnt out were also used by them as collectibles rather than tools.
The root of this was still due to living too comfortably.
The Garlic Tribe’s little people had no worries about food and clothing, and there was no pressure from strong enemies, when they encountered trouble there was Isabelle to take care of it, and on top of that there was Lu Yao, and the miracle could be turned on a dime at any time to attack and defend.
Without demand, there is no motivation.
So recently, the civilisation of the Garlic Tribe was basically at a standstill.

Lu Yao had thought several times about being ruthless and giving them a hurricane or rainstorm, so that they could at least understand the saying that there are unpredictable winds and clouds in the sky.
But in the end, he didn’t give up.
Each and every one of these pixelated villains was precious to Lu Yao.
But his thoughts changed now.
A child could not be broken without a fight. Especially if they were a bunch of lazy dogs from the tribal era, sometimes you just had to hit them hard. They had to be shown that it was too early for this era to mingle and die.
Anyway, there’s the ghost town of Saniro now, and that’s the big base for Faith’s output over there at the moment.

It’s so nice that this place can be used as a testing ground.
Lu Yao tapped [Miracle] and started [Rainfall].
Initially, the Garlic Tribe hadn’t realised that the situation was wrong. As the rainfall became heavier and heavier, and mixed with hurricane winds, the five barns and the grain inside were completely destroyed by the storm and the heavy rain, and even a dozen pieces of farmland were destroyed, and a few people died.

The little tribesmen were in a complete panic.
The storm wouldn’t stop, and the hurricane was still raging next to the tribe.
They could only pray by the shrine, hoping to receive the shelter of the gods, so that this horrible natural disaster could be dispersed earlier.
The prophet knelt at the shrine.
“Great Yao God, the tribe doesn’t know which god it has angered and has sent us a disaster. I ask for your mercy to be able to restore peace to the tribe.”

“The tribe is Avray guilty of the blasphemy of laziness by failing to offer sacrifices for you. I implore your forgiveness.”
Lu Yao didn’t give him any reminder this time and just watched with cold eyes.
The rainstorm and hurricane continued, continuing to whack everyone in the Garlic Tribe.
Lu Yao was determined this time.
He had consumed a total of 250 points of faith, showing the Garlic Tribe that Heavenly Might was unpredictable and disasters were everywhere.

When he felt that the pressure of the natural disaster was almost over, Lu Yao guided the Prophet to the monument.
The Prophet was silent for a while, and an exclamation mark lit up above his head.
“Lord God, are you telling the tribe not to forget the shame of Headhunter’s death?”
“I understand, the tribe’s outstanding heroes died at the hands of monsters, while we survivors have not had any awakening and are still relying on the power of the Apostle-sama …… What arrogance and laziness is this.”
“From now on, we will definitely keep in mind how weak we are today, never stop and always be ready to deal with calamities.”
“Weak as we are, we don’t have any qualifications to stop and rest.”

The Prophet’s comprehension was a bit different from Lu Yao’s original plan.
But the general direction was quite consistent.
Seeing that his purpose had been achieved, Lu Yao stopped the miracle.
The sky of the Garlic Tribe was once again clear, and all the Pixel Villains were instantly relieved as they began to rebuild their broken homes together.

While busy restoring the houses and farmlands, exclamation marks suddenly appeared above the heads of the little people.
“God’s favour!”
“The Yao God has sent down a bounty!”
“Divine revelation!”
“Merciful Yao God, great Yao God!”
“It’s the hammer, the hammer, the unbreakable hammer!”

The iron hammer was taken out of the temple by the prophet and was the first to be given a flourish in the hands of the carpenters.
Both carpenters were in love with the iron hammer and gave it a very high rating. They considered it a great tool, an indispensable aid in building houses and woodwork.
Soon, a series of prompts appeared on the game interface.
[The Garlic Tribe has learnt to use the hammer.]

[The Garlic Tribe has learnt copper smithing.]
[The Garlic Tribe has learnt stone construction.]
[The Garlic Tribe has learnt to use copper.]
[The Garlic Tribe gained prestige among the other tribes for mastering the new technology.]
Over the next few hours, the Garlic Tribe built a fireplace out of stone. The small people began to burn copper in it, and then made copper into hammers.
The hunters used the copper to make improvements to their bows and spears, with copper arrowheads and spearheads. Soon after the shaman made copper shields and copper armour by hand. At this point, copper metal finally began to be widely used in the tribes.
Lu Yao watched with a bit of emotion.
Tribal small people really have the human disease …… of having no fighting spirit when they eat and drink well, and only when they encounter disasters and difficulties will they burst out with amazing creativity and power of action.
It is still necessary to let this group of tribal small people maintain a little sense of crisis.
At this time, Isabel s side finally crossed the heavy mountains and found the Salt Pond Tribe at the other end of the mountain.
