The pixelated world is not described in detail in the Divine Simulator, nor are all the maps and various data given; the player as a Divine has to explore it step by step.
The last time a black bear attacked the tribe, Lu Yao really thought it was a beast attack. It was only after the subsequent prophet viewed the corpse that he recognised its true identity as a demonic believer.
In a way, Lu Yao didn’t know more than these pixelated villains.
He only has a “player” status that the pixel people can’t understand, and is somewhat like a foreign god that has descended into the pixel world.
Alien Gods ……
Lu Yao immediately thought.
Since there were alien gods like himself, it was likely that there were also local gods of the Pixel World.
He looked at the [Energetic Cane] in his hand, as well as the [Cactus Attendant] that was dormant in a small flower pot on the side, both of these magical treasures originally belonged to the God of the Forest. And the shrine showed that the God of the Forest had fallen, which was why these treasures that He held had been shed.
Is a god like the God of the Forest an old god?
Unfortunately, no one could answer this question for him.
Lu Yao thought a little and made a decision.
Change!
Although wheat was valuable, it was difficult for the Garlic Tribe, which was allied with the Forest Tribe, to monopolise this grain. Instead of possibly being wh*red out for wheat, it would be better to make an open deal now.
Lu Yao tapped [Yes].
A light bulb lit up above the Prophet’s head.
“Gods, your servant knows what to do.”
He immediately opened a private chat with the shaman next to him.
The two tribal leaders quickly agreed on the same thing, and smiley faces popped up on the heads of the pixelated villains of the Forest Tribe.
“Shaman got the wheat!”
“God Yao has graced the tribe with food!”
“Great, no need to fear winter!”
“Great God Yao, wise shaman!”
Then, the little people of the Forest Tribe carried out a sarcophagus from the forest. They carried the sarcophagus all the way to the outside of the Garlic Tribe’s shrine.
A grey sarcophagus icon named [Apostle] was immediately added to the shrine interface.
Lu Yao clicked on [Apostle].
A stand-up drawing surfaced on the screen. In the picture, there was a woman whose eyes were covered by a black cloth lying in the grey coffin.
There was a small crack on her cheek, and her body looked like it was sealed in with mud and ash, the grey rocky carapace almost fused with the sarcophagus. If it wasn’t for the soft young girl’s face that could barely be seen, there was no difference between it and a stone statue.
……
[Apostle]: on the verge of death.
Apostle of the Forest God. Apostles carry out the will and commands of the gods, listen to the voices of the gods, and are the carriers of the gods’ descent into the world.
……
According to the description above, this Apostle seems to be a unit that the Divine player can directly control?
It won’t be easy to wake her up though.
Lu Yao clicked on [Apostle] and got a prompt.
–Converting her revival into an Apostle of your pantheon requires consuming a large amount of Faith Power. May I ask if you need to consume 500 Faith Points to convert the Apostle?
According to Miracle’s faith consumption, a lightning bolt of 20 faith is equivalent to 25 lightning bolts worth of this apostle. With this amount of faith overhead, he was currently unable to support it at all.
Lu Yao could only put the matter of the Apostle down for the time being and continue to engage in the basics of development.
He pondered that this dying Apostle was still under the Forest God.
Considering that the previous [Energy Staff] was what the Prophet dug out of the forest, the [Cactus Attendant] sent by the Forest Tribe also originated from the God of the Forest’s temple, and the dying Apostle was dug out underground. It seemed that this forest had some sort of relationship with the Forest God.
Unfortunately, there is no way to dialogue with the pixel villain, and there is no question option to find clues.
Lu Yao returned his attention to the construction of the tribe.
He transferred one of the Pigfish brothers to the river and moved one to the forest. One of them was a fisherman and the other was a hunter before, which was sort of a show of strengths for each.
Soon the two heroes gave feedback.
“The places in the river with lots of fish are in deep water and need boats. The tribe needs to build boats in order to fish.”
“Herbs have been found in the forest with animal chew marks and blood on them, though they are unrecognisable. A pharmacist is needed to recognise it.”
The resources are there, it’s just that there is a lack of professionals who can recognise and use them.
Lu Yao knew that there was no rush for this, so he relaxed and watched from the sidelines.
He found two frozen corn in the freezer and cooked them in a pot for dinner.
Nibbling on the hot, soft corn, Lu Yao watched the little tribesmen go about their business, as if he had returned to the simple joy of watching the ants on the ground when he was a child, which was a different kind of fun.
Soon, snow began to fall in the Pixel World, and winter descended.
Apart from the two heroes, the Pigfish Brothers, the Garlic Tribe’s pixel villains who had gone out returned in droves, and everyone hid in their houses to keep warm. During the short day, they gather branches for firewood and clear the snow around the temple and farmland.
It was a good thing that wheat had been planted early, and the bountiful harvest of wheat fields provided much food for the tribe. In the face of winter, the pixelated little people were not afraid at all.
“We have wheat, enough food, and the house is warm.”
“Wheat, the power of wheat!”
“The winter looks like it’s going to be a long one, luckily with the gods’ gift of wheat and garlic, no one should freeze to death this winter.”
The tribe of pixelated little people had happy emoticons above their heads.
At this time, the forest tribe suddenly came to visit.
Unlike in the past when they made deals, this time the visit was led by the highly placed shaman himself. The Prophet greeted them and even lit a bonfire between the snowdrifts to warm up with the visiting allies.
An anxious emoticon appeared above the shaman’s head.
“Friends of the Garlic Tribe, we have encountered insurmountable difficulties and implore your help.”
“Twenty hunters from the Forest Tribe, who are also the best hunters in the tribe, went into the depths of the forest to do one last hunt in preparation for winter. Heavy snow sliding down from the mountains buried them in the northern part of the forest and we cannot find them.”
“Only the greatness of the gods can save them.”
“I ask the omnipotent Yao God in the pantheon to have mercy on these hunters for food and give them protection. If we can help these compatriots survive, we will build a shrine in our tribe to worship the Yao God and offer sacrifices and our tribe’s loyalty.”
An exclamation mark appeared above the Prophet’s head.
He said, “Since you want to pray for the blessings of the gods, go to the shrine and worship the Yao God; only the most pious and honest requests will receive the mercy and gifts of the gods.”
So the shaman took the tribesmen with him and worshipped around the shrine.
Lu Yao pondered for a while.
According to what the shaman said, if he could find these people, he would be able to build a shrine in the Forest Tribe as well. This would be equivalent to being able to grace both tribes at the same time, wouldn’t it be possible to obtain offerings from both tribes?
But what had to be done to save these hunters who were caught in the snow?
Lu Yao thought of the [Blazing Sun] from Miracle.
This Miracle that cost 25 points of Faith to unfold should be able to melt the snow.
He selected [Blazing Sun], stretched it as wide as possible in the northernmost area of the forest that was within reach of the game interface, and then clicked the mouse.
A brilliant golden light appeared in the sky above the northern part of the forest, and the thick white snow in the forest quickly dissipated, revealing many small people who fell to the ground shivering.
An exclamation mark emerges above the head of the kneeling shaman.
“Great god, the forest tribe is sincerely grateful for your mercy, we have no doubt in your greatness, we will immediately build a shrine to worship you!”
The shaman then sent out a portion of the villains and quickly headed north towards the snow-melted forest. Soon they recovered the missing hunters.
As the shaman had promised, the forest tribe also built a shrine. This temple was made of wood and modelled after the White Temple.
To Lu Yao’s some disappointment, there were no changes in the temple’s interface, and his plan to double his gifts and offerings did not come true.
But there were rewards as well.
[Your miracle has turned the Forest Tribe’s attitude into one of worship.]
[Because of worshipping the same gods, the Forest Tribe is merging with the Garlic Tribe.]
Lu Yao’s spirit was lifted.
If he could merge the Forest Tribe’s hundred or so people, it would definitely be a huge boost.
That was over a hundred Faith Values!
The population boost would also expand the boundaries of the shrine’s radiation, with more manpower that could trigger more random events.
The immediate consumption of Faith in exchange for long term sustained gains.
Win!
